Third Person POV . . .
Byron ran to Gazel's room with a small, white envelope in his hand, and knocked a few times at the door before opening it. Ever since Gazel got sick two days ago, Jane never left his side, every night she would come, and check his temperature, and sometimes stays with him all night. Today, was the same thing, the teen girl was sitting at the edge of the bed, while placing the thermometer in Gazel's mouth.
" Your temperature is better than yesterday", she said, with a sigh of relief escaping her lips. The blonde boy stood at the doorstep for a while, before letting out a small fake cough. Jane gave Gazel a soft kiss on his forehead, before running over to Byron with a raided eyebrow.
" What's up?", she asked, as they existed the room.
" A letter from Japan", he replied, handing the girl the small envelope. A curious look sprouted in her face, and she opened the envelope with eager eyes, and read . . . .Dear Jane,
Heard your part of the Fire Dragons, congratulations!
Too bad I wasn't able to have you here with me in Inazuma Japan. Ow well, guess my luck wasn't with me. Anyway, I was wondering you know, go out?
You can take your time, I fine with that!Your friend,
Xavier FosterThe girl closed the letter with a blushing face. Bryon raised his eyebrow, and looked at her with confusion.
" So?", Jane didn't answer his question, and stayed quite for a few seconds.
" Xavier is asking me out, but I thought I told Torch to tell him I am already dating Gazel!", she replied angerly, and stomped to Torch's room, with red, puffing cheeks.
" Oi! Torch! Open up!", Jane shouted, while banging at the door repeatedly.
The door slowly opened, and Torch walked out, still in his red pyjamas.
" What's wrong?", I asked, with his eyes half closed.
"I told you to in-from Xavier that I was already dating Gazel! Why didn't you tell him then?!", she asked, while waving the paper in front of his face. The boy simply yawned, and read the paper with a sleepy smile.
" Well this is interesting", he said, handing the girl the paper. Jane's eyebrows twitched, and she was about to straggle Torch, but Byron pulled her backwards to stop her.
" Calm down, send him a letter, and explain instead", Byron advised, while patting her shoulder, but what they did not notice, was that Gazel was
over-hearing their conversation from a small crack in his room's door.
" Curses", he mumbled, before walking back to his bed, and coughing loudly.
After a few minutes, Jane walked back into the room, and Gazel covered his head with silk blankets to avoid her. The teen girl sat at edge of the bed, and removed the bed sheets of the sick boy, and looked at him with worried eyes." Are you okay?", she asked, but Gazel just ignored her, and stayed silent.
" Gazel?", the girl thought it would be better to stop asking, and go back to lowering his temperature. She pulled a soaked towel from the bowl of water, and placed it on his head, without saying a word. She pulled another towel from the bowl, and lifted his shirt a little, to place it on his stomach, but suddenly, Gazel grabbed her wrist, while looking at her with hus tierd, teal eyes.
" Are you going to accept Xavier?", he asked, with a dry voice. The girl did not answer, and removed his hand from her wrist, and replied, " No". She placed the wet towel on his stomach, and caressed his cheek.
" I love you not him", she replied, and ruffled his hair, The boy smiled in relief, and dozed off to sleep.
" Sleep well", Jane said, before leaving the silent room.Jane's POV . . .
I walked down streets, and stopped in front of a small, medicine shop. Appearently, I had to get more Panedol for Gazel, since he was running out. I entered the shop, and greeted Me. Lucy Gray, who was the clerk.
" Good afternoon Jane, my son was interested in seeing you, he is practicing soccer in the nearby field", she said with a smile.
" I will go there right away once I get Gazel's medicine Ms.Gray", I replied, and took a small packet of Panedol from one of the shelves.
" I hope your boyfriend gets better", Ms.Gray said, as she shoved the packet into a small bag. I paid the bill, and walked out of the shop, but to my surprise, Gazel was standing at the entrance.
" What are you going here? I thought I left you in bed!", I complained, grabbing his hand, and dragging him with me to the soccer field.
" Now I have to take care you ", I sighed, and kept walking with Gazel through the streets. He did not say anything the hole time, and it got me irritated. I was about to ask him why he followed me, but he pulled me into a dark ally, and rapped his arms around me.
" They are after us", he whispered into my ear, and tightening his grip on me.
" Where did they go?", a voice from a small distance asked.
"Damn it! If I just saw that girl earlier, I could have got my hands on her!" , another voice complained. I buried my face in Gazel's chest, hoping the two strangers will not find us.
" Everything is going to be fine", Gazel whispered again, while Patting my head. I accedently stepped on a metal can beside us, causing it to make a clattering sound.
" Did you here that?", one of the strangers asked. I heard footsteps coming closer, and I was able to hear my heart pounding in my chest. My eyes were locked on Gazel's tired face. The sound of footsteps became louder, and I was able to hear someone laughing. A shadow appeared on the floor, motion ing the stranger was close, but once it was about to reach us, a pebble flew out of nowhere, causing a distraction. Gazel and me took this as an advantage, and broke into a run ignoring the threatning shouts of the stranger, but not far did we go until one of them grabbed my arm, and pulled me backwards. Surprisingly, the stranger was no other than Flesh. He gave me a scary smirk, and rapped his arms around me.
" Gazel! GAZEL!", I shouted at the top of my lungs. Gazel quickly turned back to me, and ran back, but he was stopped with one of Flesh's minions kicking him in the stomach. He stumbled to the ground, and coughed dryly, and said, " What with you? Attacking an unarmed person like a coward", Flesh and his friend turned to the voice, and saw a boy with a soccer ball . His eyes were pure blue, blond hair as gold, and a simple, grey, high-school uniform, and a yellow headphone dangling around his neck.
" Piss-off Leo, this is none of your business", Flesh hissed, and shot Leo a glare, and tightened his grip on me. I winced in pain, and bit my lower lip.
" Abusing others isn't what auntie taught you Flesh", Leo replied casually, and looked over at Gazel, who was lying on the floor, and breathing heavily.
Flesh ignored his cousin, and motioned to his minion to continue bullying Gazel.
" Lets play", he said, and nuzzeled his nose into the back of my neck. I heard him giggle before placing a quick kiss on the back of my neck. My mind was more than furious, I elbowed him in the stomach, and pushed him away. Once I did, Leo ran towards him, and planted a punch in the middle of his face. Without wasting a second, I ran to Flesh's minion, and pushed him away from Gazel.
" J-Jane", I looked at Gazel with a worried face, and gasped when I saw the blood dripping from his lip. Leo ran towards him, and placed him on his back.
" Where's your base?", he asked, in a hurry.
" It's at the second street", I replied, as I tried to keep up with his walking speed.
" Lets just hope your friend is not in too much pain", he said, as he looked ta Gazel from the corner of his eye.====================
