Jane's POV . . .

It felt as if time froze, I was unable to breath, and felt as if all the air was sucked out of my lungs. All my attention were drawn to Torch's sun-like eyes, which glowed like wolves of the night. I felt numb, and the reason I was still standing, was because of his strong grip on me, if he would even loosen a bit, I might just stumble down. Before I knew it, his face was extremely close to mine, and I felt like I could scream any second.
Suddenly, he stopped, and rested his head on my shoulder.
" It doesn't matter how much I try, your always so far away to catch up to. I guess that is my punishment for toying with you at first", he said, with guilt filling his voice. Without thinking, I patted his back to ease him a little, and before I knew it, I was hugging him.
I felt him flinch a little, but I did not move an inch.
" True, but I still need you by my side, your like a bother to me anyway! I might not be able to give you the love you need, but I will try to support you as much as you supported me", I mumbled, feeling wet tears dropping on my skin.
" Hearing you say that, just ,she's me like you more, it is nearly unfair, but can't be helped", he said, loosening his grip, and stepping away from me.
" It's my punishment, and I have to support you if you think of me as a brother", he added, patting my head, with a canal smile on his face.
" Huh if you lasted to more minutes holding her like that, I would have crushed you like an ant", me and Torch turned to the cold voice, and were surprised to see Gazel standing on the other side of the corridor, with his blue kimono on, and a simple black and white soccer ball in his hands.
" How long have you been there?", Torch asked harshly, with his cheeks puffing red, and avoid Gazel's gaze at all costs. Gazel simply sighed, and walked over to us with a cold expression as usual.
" Long enough to see everything", he replied, placing the rose on the top of his head, and cradled my hand, before walking away from the red-head, without saying another word.

The hallways were dead silent, and only the sound of footsteps were heard. The "Desert Lions ", would be arriving soon, but I did not have the guts to break the awkward silence.
" You still have feelings for him", I flinched slightly at Gazel's words, and rubbed my shoulder nervously. I did not want to reply, but if I did not, I would only make him cross.
" That is not the case", I replied , staring at my sandals as I continued walking.
" Is that so? But I did not sense that when I saw you with him", he asked in a cold tone, and waited for me to reply. Things were getting out of hand, and it was a matter of time before this chat would turn into an argument.
" Don't take it too personally, we are best friends that it, and I don't see why your being such a worry-wart", I replied, raising my tone, and feeling impatience taking over her mind.

Third Person POV . . .

Gazel stopped in his tracks, and turned to the girl without showing the slightest emotion. He was really surprised she was able to reply to him with that much courage in her voice, it reminded him of the girl's old cheerful self, but he knew well that he could not allow her to act recklessly, with Flesh running loose.
" Never thought you still had that courage", he replied in defence of himself, and clicked his tongue. Jane blinked a few times in confusion, before filling her eyes with determination.
" So what?! It is nothing new!", she rebelled, with her cheeks puffing like a little child. Gazel simply walked towards her, and poked her forehead with his index finger.
" Your still an idiot", he complained coldly, as he continued poking the girl's forehead. Jane moaned uncomfortably, and slapped his hand away from her head.
" Your the only cold hearted idiot here! Baka!", Jane shouted, finally losing her patience.
Gazel was used to this side of her, after all, he knew her emotions like the back of his hand.
" Your too predictable", he finally confessed, ruffling her hair carelessly. Jane moaned angerly again, and swiftly stepped away from him, while pointing an accusing finger at the young teen.
" Idiot! I hat-", Gazel briskly covered her mouth before she could finish speaking, and motioned for her to stay quiet.
" Then can you explain this?", he asked pulling out his phone, and showing her the pictures Leo sent him of her and Torch. Jane's eyes widened, and embaresment started to replace her anger, the flame in her eyes faded away, and a gloomy aura surrounded her. Gazel slowly removed his hand from her mouth, and examined her sad expression.
" It was an accident, I swear", she mumbled, looking at the ground, not daring to argue anymore. Gazel nodded his head, and patted her head, before walking again, and motioning her to follow him to the field. Jane obeyed obediently, and walked behind him, with a small hint of pain sinking into her hreat.
'They might have become friends again, they might care for each other, but I am just a wall which stops their friendship from growing again', once ethat thought crossed her mind, Jane turned around, and ran in an opposite direction of the soccer field. She was able to hear Gazel calling her name, but completely ignored him and kept running, she has made a decision, candidates the wrong one.
" I am nothing but trouble to everyone!", she shouted at herself, running out if the appartment, and to the dark ally where she met Flesh the last time.

Just like that, she led herself back to the darkness, where only power laid waiting . . . .
