Just a Dream

Chapter 18

Belle's POV

"I'm here. Do you know he listens to WDW", I text Toni

I turn my phone off and get out as Gabe opens the door for me

"Thank you", I smile and get out as he shuts the door

He smiles back

"So this is your house", I say looking at the mansion

"Yeah. I know it's big, but I try not to let it define me you know. Plus a lot of people live in it", he says and leads me in

"I like it", I smile

He mumbled something I couldn't understand

Gabe's  POV

"I like it", she smiles as we enter my house

"You are going to be living here soon", I mumble. Luckily she didn't hear it

I lead her through the house to the backyard. The sun was setting and it was perfect.

As I lead her out I hear her let out a small gasp. Lights ran up and down the walkway leading to our picnic where the blanket was outlined with the same lights.

"It's beautiful", she gasps walking to the picnic blanket

"Thanks. Everyone pitched in to help", I said rubbing the back of my neck

"It's beautiful", she said again

We sat down onto picnic blanket and I opened the basket. I grabbed two waters and gave one to her

"Thank you", she smiled and accepted it

"Now I have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or lasagne. You choose", I say trying to joke around

"PB and J sounds mighty tasty. But I'm going to have to go with the lasagne", she smiles

"Agreed", I say and get the lasagne out

We ate and had a fun conversation about cats, dogs, school, the future, and  our fluency of sarcasm

"That was really good", she said

"I'll have to tell my mother", I said with a chuckle which she repeated but in a cuter way

"And here this whole time, I thought you made it", she gasped

"Me? I could barely make the PBJ", I said honestly

She looked at me and started laughing

"What", I said laughing

"You seriously don't know how to cook", she asked shocked

"Honest to God, I can only make cereal, which I have mastered to a science, for the record", I said being proud of my two year accomplishment

"What about toast", she asked

"I burn it", I said laughing 

"Oh my Lord", she said and got up

"Where are you going", I asked

"We are going to your kitchen and I am teaching you how to cook", she said smirking holding her hand out to help me 

"What about the stars", I ask pointing to the stars

She looked up at the stars and smiled

"Ok", she says sitting down next to me

"How about our next date is dedicated to you teaching me", I ask as a I slowly put my arm behind her as if I was reclining back a little

"Second date", she asked raising her eyebrow

"Well only if you accept obviously", I said stating to obvious

"Mhm", she says thinking

I let out a short laugh

"Should I go on a second date with someone who listens to Why Don't We and who's mom should be on Chopped", she says looking at the stars

"What is Chopped", she asked 

She stared at me, "I'm going to ignore that"

"Well, did have you and the stars come up with a answer", I ask

"Yes", she said

"And", I ask

"Yes", she smiles

"Good"

"Now, look at these stars", she said and pointed up

"I can't see any of them", I said

"It's getting cloudy", she said

"Almost like", I started

"Rain", she finished as water droplets started to fall slowly

"Lets go", I said as it started to rain harder

She picked the basket up and I picked the blanket up with the lights surrounding the blanket. We ran in while we laughed. 

We got in the house and shut the glass door

"Nice" she laughed

"You're all wet", I said 

"So are you", she said

"Come on", I said and led her up the stairs

"On the first date already", she joked

"Nah. I am a gentleman" I said honestly

I opened my door and went in my closet

"Here", I said and handed her a white sweatshirt

"Are you telling me we could've been twinning", she said taking the sweatshirt from me

"We should of planned it", I said shaking my head

"Well turn around", I said 

He rolled his eyes and turned around

I took the damn sweatshirt off and put on the dry one on

"All done", I said
