"Alice, wake up." I feel a gentle hand on my shoulder, and I struggle to open my eyes.

"Whaaat?" I mumble angrily, rubbing my eyes.

"You must get out." The Hatter gets out of the car, sending me apologetic looks.

"Whyyy?" I whine, glancing outside through the windows at our surroundings. "We're in the middle of nowhere."

"I know, but we must walk from here. The other people of Wonderland don't like the technology of your world, and I doubt they'd be very kind to us if they knew what we do."

"Fine." I grumble, and get out of the car, grabbing my weapons and my suit the Hatter made for me, conveniently placed next to them.

"Here." The Hatter hands me a bag, and I put my stuff in it gratefully.

"Wait a second... If they don't like technology, does that mean I can't listen to music?" The Hatter nods, and I sigh dramatically. I don't really know why. Maybe I'm simply too tired to be weird and angry like I normally would be.

"I'm sorry." He says, looking at me with such sincerity that I think my heart melts a little bit.

"It's cool. I've been grounded before, I can survive at least a month without music. At least now there's an awesome adventure going on."

He smiles at me, a small, adorable smile. "There's something special about you Alice."

"Well I am pretty special," I say sarcastically, but I'm taken by surprise when he leans forward and presses his lips to mine, something that I imagine must've taken all of his courage.

He pulls me into his arms, and- after the initial shock- I kiss back. I wrap my arms around his neck, but that seems to pull him back to earth. He pulls away from me suddenly, his eyes wide.

"I-I-I-" He stutters, before running away, leaving me staring after him, in a bit of a daze.

I stand there for a while, trying to comprehend what just happened, until a very familiar, very annoying voice cuts through the silence. "Well, well, well. Kitten's been naughty."

"Oh shut up Ches," I snap as he materializes in front of me, "I'm not in the mood."

"Oh you seemed perfectly in the mood when he kissed you."

"I said shut up!" How dare he come in here with his cocky attitude, obviously knowing what the hell just happened.

He smirks and pulls me into his arms, just like Hatter had done moments before. I don't resist, maybe because I'm tired, or because I'm still dazed, or maybe simply because I don't want to.

He leans forward and I feel his hot breath on my ear, and I shiver. "Would you like a real kiss?" He asks, and I don't respond. I mean seriously, what am I supposed to say? 'Yes super sexy cat man, I would love for you to kiss me.' Yeah right. Okay mind, shut up. You're ruining the moment here.

He pulls back a little so he can look me in the eyes, but is still holding me close. "Well Kitten?" He asks, smiling. Not smirking, smiling- a genuine smile. I don't respond to him, so he tilts my chin up with one hand, the other still firmly placed around my waist. "I guess we'll find out then." He leans forward and presses his lips to mine with surprising gentleness. Suddenly, I'm immersed in him, kissing him is more important than breathing, and I can't imagine letting go.

Then it is over, Ches is gone, and I'm in the middle of the forest, cold, confused, and alone.
