Age progression

The gems he handled were known to be magic and had countless myths and legends under their name, but generally they didn't do crazy and disturbing things they were supposed to; just fancy rocks with a peculiar history that might or might not mean anything at all. So, whenever Kaito goes for a gem he assumes that it is either going to be Pandora or do nothing instead of glowing red in the moonlight.

He didn't expect to wake up the morning after a heist significantly older than he fell asleep; he expected to be a few hours older (as always, logical, inevitable) not a decade older. His body was that of a 27/28 year old Kuroba Kaito, not the teen one! He had his body from the future. He was looking exactly like his father did minus the mustache; if one saw him, they would assume they saw the ghost of Kuroba Toichi and not his son.

Kaito didn't know how to feel about it. He was a magician, so he could indeed disguise himself as Kaito in his teens, even though it's going to be hard with the additional height and the creepy factor of looking like his beloved father. A face that he both loved to see and a face that pained him whenever he saw it. Though, Kaito already looked like the exact replica of his father, so it was a given that he would end up looking like his old man as he remembered him when he reached the right age, but… he hadn't expected it to be so soon, so sudden. He was supposed to have an adjustment period dammit. Looking at the mirror only to see his father's face brought emotions up like no other.

He was also going to have to notify his boyfriend about the recent turn of events; with Shinichi being who he was and having been the victim of age shifts before, he knew that things would go over fine (as opposed to how they would of he dated Aoko or someone else), but he wasn't entirely sure if Shinichi would like that. Reasons ranging from:

1. It would look like he was cheating on his boyfriend to outsiders

People were aware that Kaito Kuroba and Shinichi were a couple, so if the detective was shown being lovey dovey with a man that looked a lot like Kaito, but couldn't possibly be him due to the age difference, cheating rumors were abound. That is, if Kaito didn't go the disguise route.

2. Rumors of a huge falling out with Kaito

The cheating rumors go hand in hand with that, but this was different. This one would mean that Shinichi wasn't cheating on him, but rather they had broken up and now Shinichi had a new boyfriend that the world has yet to meet.

To:

1. Shinichi liked older men/was a sugar baby

2. Shinichi has a fetish for guys that looked like him

If Kaito was not evidence enough, having yet another guy that looks like him as his partner would be a straight out confession to that. And while they both knew it was partially true (they weren't attracted to each other because they looked similar, but they did enjoy twin okay sooooo), the public didn't need to go into that.

So yeah.

It wasn't until Kaito had called Shinichi to his house, Shinichi arriving and things being explained that Kaito found out that his liver really did have a thing for older men. Like immensely attracted to them. The boy was usually quite shy and would let Kaito do the initiating, dominating and only giving him non verbal responses (with a couple of words and pleas trown in) but apparently Kaito being older meant that the detective was so eager to get fucked that he threw himself at the thief. Kaito wasn't complaining.

But he was slightly annoyed in retrospect. If Shinichi had been honest about what he wanted/liked/what turned him on they could have eager and dominating Shinichi sex much more often. He was a magician after all.
