Donghyuk just got finished practicing his dance for the upcoming competition when he heard the door to the practice room open. He looked up from his bag to see his boyfriend of four years walk in. He smiled as he zipped up his bag and stood up and slung the strap on his shoulder.
"You ready to go babe?" Yunhyeong asked as he kissed Donghyuk's cheek.
"Just let me grab my phone."
Donghyuk slid his phone into his pocket and walked over and linked hands with Yunhyeong. They walked out of the studio and started to head to their apartment. Donghyuk was admiring the sunset that he didn't notice that Yunhyeong was leading towards their favorite park. He looked at Yunhyeong confused but after seeing the smile on his boyfriend's face he just let the question go. He started to get suspicious when he noticed they were heading towards his favorite spot in the entire park.
"What are we doing here?" He asked once they reached their destination.
"You'll see." Was the only response he got from the older.
The brunette just sighed and decided to look at the sunset. What he wasn't seeing was their friends walk up behind them with signs and Yunhyeong getting down on one knee. He soon felt someone tug on his hand. Once he turned around he let out a gasp as he noticed the small box Yunhyeong was holding.
"We've known each other for years and have been dating for four of those. I love you so much that it hurts me to ever think about leaving you behind in anything that I do. So Kim Donghyuk, will you marry me?" Yunhyeong said as he opened the small box to display a simple gold band.
"Of course I will." Donghyuk said with tears in his eyes as he held his hand out for Yunhyeong to slip the ring on.
Once the ring was on Yunhyeong got up and kissed his now fiance. Their friends hollered behind them as they held up signs that spelled out the word 'Congratulations'. When they broke away from the kiss Yunhyeong used his thumbs to wipe away the tears that were running down Donghyuk's face.
"You're too beautiful to cry." The blonde said as he continued to wipe the tears.
"How long have you been planning this?" The younger said with a small smile on his face.
"For about two months. I'm honestly surprised you didn't figure out my plan."
"Well I have been busy lately."
Yunhyeong just laughed and leaned in for another kiss but was stopped when someone cleared their throat. They looked over to see their friends staring at them.
"While we love that this ended happily we're going to start heading home. Some of us have been up since about three in the morning." A short brunette said while nodding his head to another that was trying to fall asleep on someone's arm.
"Thanks for your help guys. Hanbin go to sleep when you get home please. Junhoe make sure he sleeps." Yunhyeong said looking at his tall blonde friend.
The blonde just nodded before handing his and Hanbin's signs to one of their friends before picking the black haired boy. Yunhyeong laughed as he watched them all walk away before turning back to Donghyuk.
"Where were we?" He asked with a smirk on his face.
"I think you were about to kiss me." The younger said leaning in.
The two kissed for a couple of minutes before deciding to head to their apartment. Part of that was because the brunette was getting cold since he didn't have a jacket. Donghyuk had a smile on his face as he kept looking at their linked hands and the matching gold bands that were on them. He looked up once they stopped at a cross walk so he knew when it was safe to cross. He shivered when the wind picked up.
"Do you want to borrow my jacket?" Yunhyeong asked.
"Please." Donghyuk said as he separated their hands.
The blonde started took off his jacket and help the younger put it on. Donghyuk sighed in content as soon as the jacket was on. Yunhyeong tapped him on the shoulder to let him know that it was safe to walk. Donghyuk started to walk across the street with everyone else and turned around so he was walking backwards and facing his boyfriend. He stopped when he heard the sound of tires screeching and looked around confused as everyone hurriedly got off of the street. Once everyone was out of the way he saw a car swerving and but it didn't look like it was stopping anytime soon. He stood frozen in fear as the car got closer and closer before he heard someone shout his name and he was being pushed. He closed his eyes as soon as he hit the ground but immediately opened them once he was sure he wasn't moving. What he saw in front of him was the worst thing in his life.
"YUNHYEONG!" He shouted as he got up and ran to his fiance.
Once he reached him he noticed that he was barely breathing. He looked up to see the car driving off and everyone just standing around.
"SOMEONE CALL 911!" He shouted before looking back down at Yunhyeong.
He moved closer to him and grabbed hold of his hand. He watched at Yunhyeong's head moved so he was now looking at the brunette. He started to cry when he saw the pain in the older's eyes.
"Why would you push me out of the way knowing you would get hit?" He asked as he moved closer.
"I couldn't bare the thought of you getting hurt. I'm sorry that I couldn't get out of the way fast enough." Yunhyeong said with a weak smile.
"Please don't leave me. I can't lose you." Donghyuk said as tears started to slid down his face.
"I love you. I'm sorry-" He started but was cut off by the younger.
"Don't you dare say that! You aren't going anywhere! You aren't leaving me! We have to get married and invite all of our friends and family. Were going to get a house and adopt a boy and girl. You can't leave me!" Donghyuk said starting to cry harder as he heard sirens getting closer.
"I'm sorry for leaving you. I never regret meeting you though. You made my life brighter just by smiling. I love you and I hope you know I will always be with you." The older said as he started to get weaker.
Donghyuk cried as he felt Yunhyeong's hand loosen it grip on his. He opened his eyes and watched as the older's breath got slower and slower before it finally stopped.
~A year later~
Donghyuk walked with flowers in his hands before stopping and putting the flowers down.
"Hey babe. I still miss you a lot but I hope your in a better place and no longer in pain. I plan on adopting a little girl soon. I'm going to name her after your mother. I have to go now I'm meeting up with the guys a little later. I love you." Donghyuk said as some tears slipped from his eyes.
He slowly walked away from the headstone that read:
Here lies Song Yunhyeong
Son, friend, husband and father
He will always be missed
