Part 11/ The Backstory

I just kept running I knew he was right behind me I could her his heavy footsteps behind me. I just hope he doesn't catch me, but for my luck I trip. I fell down the hill already feel cuts and bruises appearing on my body, but I fight threw it and start running again. I don't even know where I'm running to I'm just going where my feet take me. Then I see it, light. I run for it almost tripping the whole time. My body's feels like it's on fire. I finally reached the light it was a log cabin I run inside and lock all the doors and windows. "You can't hide forever Sydney! I will get you!" Then I heard footsteps leaving. I reach in my pocket and see my phone is actually in there. And I have 10 unread messages from Sean and 2 from Nick. I try to text back but I have no connection. "Fuck!" I scream. "Watch your language Sydney." The man said. "Oh shut up just leave me alone what do you even want?" He chuckles. "It's not what I want, it's what I own." He says. "You don't own me!" He chuckles again. "Wrong when your mom found out she was pregnant and your father left she need help to raise you so she came to me and asked for help and I said when you turn 18 you belong to me!" I was scared at this point I started crying. "Please just leave me alone." I cry every word. Then he was gone, and completely gone. I got up and ran outside back towards the dorm hearing more footsteps behind me I knew he was back. I was out in the clearing when he grabbed my ankle. "Ahhh noo let go of me!" I struggled to get free of his grasps but he was to strong. I kick him off me and kick him where boys don't like to be kicked. And started running again and then I saw a familiar face. "Sean!!" He looks over and runs at me with a worried/mad face. "Sydney keep running!" He yells. "NO SHIT!" I yelled. I kept running till Sean pulled me in his arms and put me behind him. "Stay away from her!" Sean screams. The man looked shocked at his actions. "Well Mr. Sean I never thought you would act this way towards a friend." Then Sean laughs. "She's not my friend, she's my cousin!" Then the man got scared. "No she's said she was the only one!" Then the man turned around and ran. "What did he mean by only one?" Sean asks. "Well I need to tell you something." I reply. I tell everyone about what the man said and when they heard this they were shocked. Nick came over to me and hugged me but then I felt tears in his face. "What's wrong?" I ask. He just shakes his head. "It's nothing don't worry about it. Then he walked off. For some reason he has been acting very strange lately. But I  brushed it off and went to bed.

I was back in the woods running again but it feels like I'm running in circles till he catches me and takes me to an abandoned house he ties me up and smiles. "Your gonna be here for awhile." Then he gets out a knife. "No no please!" It goes black.

I wake up breathing heavily looking around I realize I'm in my room and sigh of relief,then I realize my door is open. I look over and see Sarah peacefully sleeping in her bed. I walk out of my room and see a note on the table. "Huh whats this?" I ask.

Dear Sydney,
  I couldn't handle this anymore, all the trouble that's happening and I just can't handle it. I have left school to go to Florida for a better animating school and I hope you will agree with my decision and not be mad at me. I just want to stay that no roommates will top you guys and that I will always remember you guys and you Sydney. You were the best girlfriend but there's another fish in the sea so I hope you the most of luck out there finding the perfect man. Take care of everyone for me and take care of yourself too. The world is in your hands now Sydney  and I know you'll do what's right. You always have.

A tear feel on the paper making a wet spot in the paper. "Sydney?" I turn around and see August standing there. I have him the paper and he also starts to tear up. In my whole time here August has never cried but he is. Eventually everyone else came in and we all gave each other a hug group hug and stayed up the rest of the night watching movies together. I just don't want to loss anymore friends.
