Fake Beauty

I stare in the mirror and I see a monster staring back at me.

The once secure child finally showed its true self in that reflection.

I am afraid to show my true self in public.

Rejection laughs in my face and mocks me.

Everything else had beauty.

Even the smallest of things except me.

However I have learned,

It is better to be hated for what you are

than to be loved for what you are not.

I do not want to put on mask.

I do not want fake beauty.
