"RUN GRONK!!! RUN YOUR ASS UNTIL YOUR DAMN LEGS GIVE OUT!!!!" I screamed at the television, causing Bree's hand to jerk on the project she was working on in front of her.
"Jesus Lauren. I am working on the seating arrangement and I would really like it if you didn't yell in my ear every time the Patriots start a new play."
I silently cheered as Gronk was tackled near the five yard line and completed a thirty yard run. "Well you know the consequences you sign up for when you agree to watch a Pats game with me."
"AND you knew the consequences you signed up for being my maid of honor. Things like helping me finish up the wedding welcome bags." She chimed as she dangled a bag in front of my face.
Yanking the bag from her hand I placed it on the coffee table as I continued to work on them, "I know Bridezilla, besides I have already completed twenty-two of the fifty in just thirty minutes even while watching a football game."
Bree nodded "Keep calling me a Bridezilla all you want but you'll be one when you become Mrs. Taylor Hall."
Immediately I groaned as I shoved the decorative candle hard into the bag, "Can we please not talk about that."
"Why not? You're an engaged woman now, you should be happy."
"Let's try to just focus on your wedding preparations only okay?"
"Stop trying to avoid your engagement Lauren, everyone in the whole world knows about your engagement to Taylor Hall."
I dropped the bag and swerved in my seat to face Bree, "Why the hell do you keep pressing me for questions!?"
"Because you're the girl who called my sister crazy for getting married after six months of dating and now you're ENGAGED after dating Taylor for six months. Do you know how out-of-character that is for you?"
"OF COURSE I KNOW!" I barked as I sat up to walk over to the kitchen, trying to create some space between Bree and me but she followed me anyway.
"Then why the hell did you say yes?"
"I didn't have a choice Brianna!" I admitted as I faced her, "His entire goddamn family was there. What was I supposed to do? Say no then run out the front door and catch the first flight back to Montreal?"
"Well you surely shouldn't have said yes if you didn't mean it."
"Why not?"
"Because you're giving him false hope, and you know you basically just promised Taylor that you agreed to spend the rest of your life with him." Bree acknowledged.
"No I didn't."
Bree came over and flicked me in the forehead, "WHAT DO YOU THINK A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL MEANS?! ARE YOU EVEN IN LOVE WITH TAYLOR?"
"No." I confessed "But that doesn't mean I can't over time."
Bree let out a calming breath before looking up at me, "Lauren, you need to talk to Taylor and tell him how you feel."
"I KNOW!" I tossed myself into the bar stool. "But I just don't know what to say to him. I mean I obviously care about Taylor but I don't understand why he decided to propose to me in front of everyone on Thanksgiving,"
"He was just trying to do something sweet."
"Well it wasn't for me. I mean I always pictured myself being proposed to in an intimate setting with just me and my significant other only, not in front of a whole group of people. Now if Taylor had proposed to me with us being the only two in the room then of course I would have told him no, but with his parents there and...." I pulled the engagement ring out of my pocket "this damn ring sparkling in my face I felt like I had no other option but to say yes."
