While still getting used to their new body, the werewolf will be in excruciating pain, and if they don't have the one they've imprinted on there, it's even worse. They are extremely protective over the imprinted being, if they see the one they've imprinted on being touched by anyone other than them during this week process, they may even kill the person.
The main point, is that it's almost a need for the wolf to have whoever they've imprinted on during this time, and that during this time other wolves must be extremely careful, that is, unless they want their heads ripped off.
Side Note:
During this time, the wolf will be extremely sensitive, since they have to adapt to their new body, and that the wolf should be chained until it is under control again.
The being the wolf imprinted on is the only one who can really calm the wolf down.
