Shewolves still have their human ovulations, just with a twist. The normal human ovulation effects will be heightened, and every male wolf will sense it. Also, the cycle will last for 7 days. Female Ovulation happens every month, and their mate will automatically sense the need to breed the female.
That's why other males are usually tense and carefully at this time of the month and if the female has her own mate, that mate will feel more protective at that time. But unless the couple is planning to mate, they usually are uncomfortable and careful during the females 7 day cycle.
If the female does not have a mate, this process is much more complicated. Most male wolves will stay away from the female, even the female's imprinter {if she has one.} Because if the female is bitten, or any other wolf tastes her blood during this time {or anytime!} it will create an intimate bond. That's right, the wolf that has tasted her blood or bitten her, will imprint on her. But this imprint is different than the normal cliché. This bond will be intimate, and other males {including her original imprinter if she has one} will he even more cautious around the female until the two {the blood imprinter & the female} have mated.
Side Note:
Please remember that the shewolf does not have to be going through her monthly ovulation for this to happen!
