chapter 6

Shin Hye's P.O.V

I was trapped alone in that dark room. Hands tied to a chair and my mouth covered with a piece of cloth. I twisted and turned in the chair wanting to somehow free myself. But to no avail.

" He will be coming soon now..." I heard him whisper in my ear. His cold and spooky voice ringing in my ears.

" And that will be the end of him" he added and I felt goosebumps all over my body.

I really wish he doesn't come alone. Please let him bring someone. Please. Please.

After sometime I heard footsteps outside the room. Coming closer.

The door opened and light seeped into the room making me squint

Taehyung entered the room and along with that...my brother.

What is my brother doing here?

" You're here Taehyung" Mr kim said from beside me.

" You're on time" he said with an evil smile.

"Let's not waste time and begin." He said with an evil smile.

"The agents will be here soon" He added. Voice echoing throughout the room.

My brother looked blank. He had no expression on his face. What was happening here? And Taehyung too had the same expression.

" Taehyung" Mr kim called out.

No response from Taehyung.

" TAEHYUNG!" He yelled louder.

" Yes father" he replied looking down.

" I said let's begin" he repeated a strange madness in his eyes.

" Kneel down" Taehyung ordered my brother. And He did so.

He then took out a gun and pointed it at my brother.

I somehow managed to open the cloth around my mouth using my techniques I learned in training.

" Taehyung what are you doing?" I screamed.

Taehyung squeezes his eyes shut. Gun still pointing at my brother.

" What are you waiting for? Do It!" Mr kim yelled beside me.

His fingers tightened around the gun as his fingers found the trigger.

" I said Do it!" Mr kim yelled again.

" Or else both are dead!" He yelled

Taehyung pulled the trigger. There was a loud noise heard and my brother slumped to the floor. Not moving.

" NOOOO!" I screamed.

" What did you do!!" I screamed not able to understand anything.

Taehyung slumped down on the floor on his knees. Hands covering his face.

"OH my dear Shin Hye. This has come as a surprise to you ...hasn't it?" Mr kim said laughing an evil laugh.

" Taehyung has always been on my side. He was just pretending to love you so that I could get the whole fortune from your mother whom I love so much. I have always loved her ...But she never payed any attention to me. She was always after that filthy brat who was your father. I was tired of it I wanted to show her how much I loved her and cared for her. Much more than that brat. But she kept rejecting me till the end. And now i don't care. All I care about is her money. I'll take revenge on her.
She has so much wealth. If I marry her I could get all her wealth. If her son dies she will be in a critical condition and even your father disappeared so I could comfort her and make her fall for me" He said with an evil smile.

" And after I die all the money would go to Taehyung. Since you will not be alive till then." He said and laughed .

" If both of her children die then she would have No one to give her money to except me." He said and pointed a gun towards me.

"FATHER YOU PROMISED YOU WOULD LEAVE HER!!" Taehyung screamed .

" What's the use my child if both are not dead . I just said that to make you fall into my trap."He said and got ready to pull the trigger.

" Goodbye Shin Hye " He said and pulled the trigger. Pain seeped through my right side of my abdomen.

"NOOOOO!" Taehyung screamed and everything went black.

I woke up with a start on my bed. I had that nightmare again . The nightmare of the incident that happened 2 years ago.

Hot tears flowed down my eyes. I started crying vigouriously. I couldn't take it . Seeing my brother lying in the floor lifeless and that too because of Taehyung couldn't get out of my mind. I started crying loudly. I wanted someone to be there beside me.

Just then the door opened and Taehyung came running inside. He sat beside me and took me in his arms and started stroking my hair.

" Are you okay Shin hye? Are you hurt? What happened? " he asked tilting my chin to face him and rubbing his thumb over my cheeks.

I couldn't answer and just stared at him and continued crying.

"It's okay . Don't have to talk now. Take some time" He said in a soft voice and continued stroking my hair. I bury my face in the crook of his neck and continue sobbing vigorously

" It's okay... I'm here... Everything's okay" He hummed.

My sobs just grew louder and my hands clutched his shirt tightly.

He lightly kisses my forehead and wraps his arms tighter around me pulling me into his lap. He starts rocking me back and forth and gives me soft pecks on my forehead every now and then.

After sometime my sobs subsided and I fell into a deep sleep in his arms.
