Chapter 10 ~ Christmas!

*Phoenix's POV*

Christmas eve, I'm back at my house packing a few things and Christmas presents I got for a few people.

~Knock, knock~

That'll be Jinx, Fred invited her to come over for Christmas day at Grimmhauld place.

"Hey hunny, ima home!"

She shouts while walking through the door, lugging a massive bag behind her.

Obviously, she has never heard of the undetectable expansion charm. Luckily I have. Hehe.

"Hey Jinx, I'm nearly ready just need to pack a few things and I'll be done"

I shout from up the top of the stairs, I'm actually ready, I just wanted to do one last thing first.

I take out a secret box from under my bed, slowly opening he lid, I take out the last family photo we hade together.

In the photo, is me aged 10, Cedric aged 12 and mum and dad stood behind us smiling away.

It was the last time we called ourselves a family, a happy family.

We had our ups and downs, just like all family's do, it's healthy.

It's what keeps a family together and shows how strong a family can be.

I gently place the photo at the bottom of my bag under a few things a places in my bag, so it doesn't seem too suspicious.

I make my way down the stars and meet Jinx in the kitchen, awing over a letter I got from George this morning babbling on about how he and Fred can't wait to see me and Jinx.

"Come on Jinx, before you start going all soft, lets go"

I laugh lightly at her, as she jumps slightly, not knowing I was there.

*Fred's POV*

"Fred, will you chill out, they're on their way"

George says from beside me, I'm stood at the top of the stairs, waiting on Jinx ands Phoenix to arrive.

I have been planning on puckering up the courage to ask Jinx out, George is right, you never know unless you try.

"Phoenix!"

I'm snapped out of my thoughts as Ginny runs past us like a heard of elephants running down the stairs.

I notice Jinx being pulled into a tight hug by mum.

Just as me and George get to the bottom of the stairs, mum quickly ushers is all into the kitchen before Dad gets back from the hospital.

Me and George sit on on side of the table as Phoenix and Jinx sit on the other side opposite.

"Here we're, Daddy's back"

We all applaud as mum weals Dad up to the head of the table.

We all sit back down, mum hands presents around to everyone.

Me and George get a knitted scarf each, Ron got some sort of fur coat that looks hilarious.

Mum gave Jinx a Christmas jumper that she always makes everyone for the first Christmas present with her initial on the front.

"And now, for Alizandra, we all, with a little help from Remus and Tonks on what to get you for Christmas, put together what we could and got you this..."

Mum says whole handing a long box wrapped in dark green wrapping paper with a glittery gold ribbon around it.

"George was the one who wanted to get you this, but we helped him out a little"

Dad chips in, causing Phoenix to blush bright red as she slowly opens the box, delicately untying the ribbon.

Her eyes light up as she peers into the box, she takes off the lid, revealing an electric violin.

But not just any electric violin, oh no, a Ted Brewer electric violin.

"How...how?"

We can't help but laugh at the look on Phoe's face. She's so cute it's unreal.

"Because I love you, and even Jinx, Iris and Rhys told me how long you've dreamed about having one of these Phoe. You're welcome."

Aww, ain't they just so cute together, George and Phoenix I mean.

Next thing we know, me and George are both pulled into a bone crushing hug by Phoenix, also screaming in my ear like a little girl.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you..."

That's all I can hear, over and over again, even when she's gone, it's still ringing in my ear.

"You're more than welcome Alizandra"

Mum cherps in as we start handing around drinks for everyone.

"I just want to say thank you to Harry, if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here. Harry"

"Harry"

We all chorus raising our glasses after dad's little thank you speech.

*Jinx's POV*

"Come on Phoe, please, please, pretty please!"

Me, Fred and George are in their room trying to get Phoenix to play her violin for us.

It's not working so far.

"No, I don't want too..."

Aww she's gone all shy, makes a freakin' change, she usually likes the lime light.

"Phoenix, you know you love me..."

Haha, the old 'you know you love me' trick, nice one George.

"Yes I do love you, but no I'm not playing it, it's not even tuned yet so I cant..."

"Actually it is, you know there's this amazing thing called 'magic' "

Haha! boom! now you have no excuse bitch!

"Ugh, fine"

YES!!

"Okay I'll play a well known song, see if you can recognise it, Jinx you should know this one..."

Oh great, the old guessing game, should be fun.

She starts playing the song, I automatically know what it is, Fred and George probably don't, I don't even know if they know what music is...

"Evanescence ~ wake me up!"

"well done Jinx, that's it, that's all I know other than ones I've written"
