I referred to the song Papaoutai.
That's why it is spelt like that.
Listen to the song if you want to.
You were a territory marked by the French, how that established over a hundred years that came was no laughing matter to most.
The person known to be France himself had never heard of you.
The one weird thing is that every country knew you but the problem was that you were part of France so you to have to stronger and wiser in order to leave, like around you brother America, or Canada?
So you built yourself up with those promising words.
You'll get your own back.
"Big brother?" You replied to your one most truthful person: Canada, himself.
"Oui?"
"Could I join your country and independence?" You peeped up with saddened eyes.
"No, no. (Y/N), we both know you can't do that." Canada looked quite stunned.
"P-please, Matthew..." Begging with his real name, as when something as serious as this happens.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)."
"WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS?!?!" Roaring out to Mother Nature with nothing in return.
"I know you can't stand him-"
"NOT JUST THAT..." You realised you were yelling so you had to reduce yourself, "He doesn't notice me."
"Maybe give him some time..."
"I gave him all the time in the world. And yet, he'll never think that I'm his child, even though there is full proof, he doesn't know who I am, even."
You shook to the ground and sat stone still.
Your hands held as well as hid your vision with darkness, the only action you could feel was the salted tears that started to stream your cheeks.
Guess all the stress decided to hit you like a ton of bricks.
Matthew rubbed you back soothingly without his fuzzy gloves.
After a few long minutes, there was one only solution that came into your mind.
"I presume it would be better to fight for my rights."
"What are you implying?"
"Germany has begun to own his ways and set around most of the land, France placed a tree but, of course, Germany was able to walk around it."
Canada nodded, allowing you to continue.
"And I want to set this fight for myself."
"You aren't able to set off a big country like that, you won't last a second-"
"That's what everyone said, what about you and America?
"America didn't want to be treated like a child anymore by Arthur, that is different."
"Yeah, but you got your independence, how? You didn't talk, you are just an introvert."
Then you realised what you had just yelled out.
"I-I'm sorry. I...I need to go."
A few days later~
