I frown because I know I can't have him in my life. Even knowing that, I still hit "accept call".
"Hello?"
"Heyyyyyy babe! I love youuuuuuuuuu!" I hear a voice say on the other line.
"Get a life." I say and hang up.
I'm so sick of Danny's friends. Ugh! it's like, do they even HAVE a heart?!? I mean, I know it's rude saying that, but c'mon. They way they treat me? they deserve to be called worse. But I'm at least trying to be nice.
DANIEL'S P.O.V.
"Heyyyyyy babe! I love youuuuuuuuuu!" I hear Adam say.
I chuckle. "Hey Adam! You talking to Kaylee?" I say to annoy him. Although, it could be true. Knowing him.
"Um, no," Justin says through laughs, "try Lexi."
Adam shushes him.
Woah. Didn't see THAT ONE coming. "ooh! so you like Lexi now do ya?" I laugh.
Now Justin's literally rolling on the floor laughing. "Um no, but apparently you do." He again, says through laughs.
Now I'm really confused. That's not exactly true. "Wait- no I don't." I state. I search for my cell phone. When it's gone, I tackle Adam. "GIMMIE MY PHONE." I shout at him.
He laughs, but hands it over.
"F-"
My little sister walks in.
"-lip you." I finish my sentence.
"Ooh, Daniel said a bad worddd!" Lauren, my sister, says with her tattle-tail voice.
"I said "flip you" because I was telling Justin to flip Adam over the chair," I lie, "flip is not a bad word."
She gives me a look and walks away. She's seven. It makes it very difficult to live in this house. I have to be mature at all time, I can't use bad language, etc. Fuck this. I mean, Flip this.
I unlock my phone, because Lexi texted me.
"You're such an asshole."
Gee, that's a nice text. I know she wasn't talking to me, because with Adam's accent, you can easily tell it isn't me talking. I tell her what happened and she reads it. But she never replies. Which means something is up. I know it.
I want to talk to her and be there. I do. But she made it pretty clear earlier by lying to me, that she doesn't want me to know.
I'll try to forget about it. But no promises Lexi, no promises.
I begin typing "okay. Drop the act, Lex. Tell me what's wrong. I know something's up. You can't hide this from me."
I hesitate on whether or not I should send it. I think it might send the wrong message. Although, I don't exactly know if it would be a wrong message, exactly... Would it?
I'm about to hit send when my phone rings. It's Annabelle. I sigh and walk into a different room, away from the guys. I accept the call.
"Hey."
"Hiiiiiiii Dannyyyyyyyy!!" She says energetically.
"Hi Anna. What's up?"
"Okay, so listen. I have a question to ask you. And something to tell you." She pauses. " I like you, Danny. And I want to know if you'll go out with me."
I don't even know. I think I like Anna. If its a maybe, then I guess it's not a no...
"Hello..?" she panics.
