Marinette's POV

"Are you sure you're doing ok?" Tikki asked.

"I'm ready,"I answered.

"This will be your first fight in a while," She warned, "You might be a little rusty."

"Let's hope Ladybug doesn't get rusty," I grinned, "Tikki, spots on!"

My mind was blank as I swung through the city, following the crashing noises of the epic fight.

I landed on the top of a building after a flip in the air, ((cuz in my stories, Ladybug is extra sometimes 😂)), and returned my yo-yo to its place around my hips.

"Glad you could join us, m'lady," Chat smiled.

Queen Bee, Chat, Volpina and Jade Turtle greeted me. But there was someone else who spoke up...

"Hey Ladybug," Another voice said, "Nice to finally meet you.

I turned to see a girl in a silvery suit with a snowflake on the chest, white hair and wolf ears on her head, one with a crystal stud in a cartilage piercing. She had a matching metallic white mask, a utility belt, and a bow and some arrows on her back.

"Accalia Blanc," I smiled, "I've heard quite a bit about you."

"All good things I should hope!" She responded, shooting a look at Chat.

"Who's getting their butt kicked today?" I smirked.

"Some freaky demon thing called 'Darkifyer,' and she has the ability to turn people into shadows," Chat answered, suddenly looking concerned.

"All right then," I sighed, "Let's get to it."

Darkifyer was definitely a freaky demon thing. She had a long cloak but the hood was off, and her eyes glowed red. She was slightly transparent
and was floating, but other than that looked pretty human.

Darkifyer loomed over a young, screaming girl, a wretched smile twisting her face.

"Hey, Dorkifyer!" Chat shouted, diverting her attention, "Why don't you pick on someone your own size!"

Darkifyer turned, snarling at Chat Noir. She lunged at him, but he dodged her.

"Missed me!" He teased.

She leaped for him several more times but the only response she got was;

"Missed me, missed me, aaaaand...missed me!"

"All right," I whispered, "Huddle up."

"So what's the plan?" Queen Bee asked.

"We follow your lead, LB,"  Jade Turtle added.

"Hmm..." My brain seemed to be working in spirals of all the bad things that could happen.

"Wait a minute," I exclaimed in a moment of realization, "Did you guys see how quickly people turn into shadows when she touches them?"

They all nodded.

"So, she can't touch us because she'll destroy our Miraculous before she has the chance to snatch them!" I cried.

"Right!" Volpina responded, "She's bluffing!"

"All right, just try to slow her down," I said, "And if you find the akuma, let me know. Ready, and break!"

We sprinted off into all different directions, circling Darkifyer. I wrapped my yo-yo around her arm and pulled back, right as she was reaching for Chat Noir.

"Ha!" I shouted, "I don't think so, crypt keeper!"

She must have had powers we didn't know about. Her eyes began glowing more intensely and her whole body vibrated. Letting out a warlike cry, a puff of smoke radiated from around her and we were knocked back.

I felt my body slam into a metal pole, pain simmering below the surface of the back of my head and spine. I blacked out for half a moment, and looked up to see a streetlight through blurred, watering vision.

I had luckily hit something small.

Jade Turtle was unconscious in a hole in the shingles of a nearby house's roof. Queen Bee and Volpina had fallen backwards to an alley and knocked into the side of a dumpster. But...

Chat's head was lodged in a hole in a brick wall.

I slowly regained my senses and stood up, shaking my head.

"How are you going to defeat me without all your little friends?" She hissed.

"Oh you have done it now!"

"Done what? Conquered Paris?"

"Gotten yourself beaten. LUCKY CHARM!"

Of all the weird Lucky Charms I had gotten, this one by far made the least sense.

A pair of rhinestones?
