A Date?

Hey guys so I decided to make a new chapter before soccer. I might do one after soccer to. It depends on how I feel lol.

I woke up to sun shining on my face. I smiled and got out of bed. I changed into new clothes and brushed out my hair with my fingers.

Before I walked out of my cell for breakfast Carl was standing there.

"Hey Annie." he said.

"Hi" I said. I could feel my cheeks getting a little red. I don't know why. Maybe I do like him. I wonder if he likes me. As soon as I thought that he asked me something that caught me off gaurd.

"Annie I really like you and I hope you like me. But um.. maybe.. I was wondering if.. youmaybewantedtobemygirlfriendandgoonadatetonight" he said it so fast I didn't understand him.

"What?" I asked. He took a deep breathe and said it again.

"I was wondering if you maybe wanted to be my girlfriend and go on a date tonight." he said. He rubbed the back of his neck and started blushing and looked down.

"Yeah I would love to." I said with the biggest smile on my face in a while. He looked up at me and smiled and gave me a hug. We went downstairs to breakfast. Everyone saw our hands so they already knew I think. I could tell Daryl knew because he looked at me and wiggled his eyebrows. I gave him a death stare and he started smiling.

Oh, I forgot to mention me and Daryl are really close now. We talked yesterday after dinner and he already feels like a father to me. He treats me like I'm his daughter anyway.

Me and Carl got 2 granola bars and sat down with his mom and dad.

"So you two dating now?" Lori asked winking and laughing. Rick laughed along with her.

"Maybe.." Carl and I said at the same time. They just smiled and so did we. Since everyone else was quite everyone heard and there were bunch of oh's. I just rolled my eyes and smiled.

I got up to throw my stuff when Rick announced him Daryl and Carl were going on a run.

"I want to go." I said. Carl and Daryl both looked at me as if to say "no way!" but Rick let me anyway.

Rick and Carl got into the truck while I rode with Daryl on his motorcycle.

After about 10 minutes we arrived at a Walmart. We grabbed our weapons and headed inside.

"Alright were going to split up. Me and Daryl will go look for baby supplies and other essentials. Carl and Annie will go look for more food. Make sure you guys look at the dates." Rick explained and handed everyone a bag. After that we split up.

Me and Carl were walking down the food isles and grabbed a lot of food.

"Carl, my bag is already filled." I told Carl.

"My is to. Lets head back to were my dad told us to go." he said. So we started heading back to were we started but when we got there, there were about 100 walkers. Carl grabbed my hand and ran somewhere so they didn't see us.

We kept looking for his dad and Daryl, but we couldn't find them. At this point I was starting to freak out.

"Do you think they left already?" I asked Carl. He just shrugged his shoulders. I sighed.

We finally caame upon an exit with no walkers. We slowly opened the door and the coast was clear. We headed to the front where the truck and Daryl's motorcycle was. Our hopes were answered when we saw Rick in the truck and Daryl on his bike.

"Let's go!" Daryl said. Carl hurried to the truck with the bags of food and I hurried to Daryl's motorcylce and hopped on. We were here for a long time.

The others are probably worried.
