Y/N and Jungkook are both freshman in high school. They had gone to middle school together for 5th and 6th grade then he transferred away and you two haven't talked to each other since now in 9th grade.
Y/N POV
I posted a post on my Instagram story and sighed of boredom. I turned off my phone and through it to the side while falling back onto my bed.
"Can this day get any more boring?" I exhaled. The bed then started to vibrate and I quickly look over at my phone. I rolled my eyes as I picked it up and answered the call.
"Hey Jimin!"
"Hey baby girl, what are you up to?" He slurred. My eyes widened slightly as I checked the caller ID again before placing it back on my ear and getting up to get my earbuds.
"Nothing much, just trying to think about all the life choices that I can regret." I spoke unemotionally. I look over by my nightstand and saw my white iPhone earbuds and smiled slightly. My feet brought me over to the desk and I cautiously picked them up and plugged them in.
"Ha ha. Well I was just wonderin- Wait what the fuck?? Uh- sorry Y/N I gotta go..." The dead line was heard before I could say another word. A frown was seen on my face as I opened Instagram back up and looked through my DMs for people who responded to my post.

Eomma.jin: You need help on that?
Kookie_monster: Omg, I thought I was the only one who had this happen!
Curiosity clouded my eyes as I looked at the user 'Kookie_monster'.
"Who is that?" I mumbled. My thumb tapped on the chat and I pressed onto their profile. There were only four pictures. The most recent was a picture of him with a black and white filter.

I looked over to the next media and there was a video of him dancing to something called 'A coming of age ceremony' with another person. Where they were was so dark that I couldn't distinguish the facial features of the second person. Even though the body figure looks very familiar. The next picture had the person along with 6 other people, including Jimin, Jin, and Suga.

The last photo had the symbol to the game Over Watch.
"So this guy knows Suga, Jimin, and Jin? I wonder why I haven- wait..."
I read over the bio and saw the name Jeon Jeongguk. My eyes widened as memories from the first two years of middle school come back to me. I smiled brightly and went back to the chat between me and him and saw that he had messaged me again.

Jk: Oh yeah, hey! Long time no see eh?
YN: Hi! And I know right. When was the last time that we talked? Middle school?
JK: Yeah I believe so. Dang.. it was such a long time.
YN: Too long...
Some time went by and Jungkook and I were still texting.
Y/N: OMG really?
JK: Yeah.. also, I liked you throughout middle school.
Y/N: No way. I had no clue... I'm sorry
JK: No no, its okay. No one knew. I hated everyone in that school. Well, I mean except you of course. You were too cute to hate, and still are.
My eyes widened as I reread the message over and over again. He brushed that message off and gave me his number and I gave him mine. A few minutes later he called me on FaceTime and I answered it, but quickly turned off the light so he couldn't see my face.
"So, you're going to sit there in the darkness while I'm here showing my face? Wow. I see how it is... No matter I'm playing Over Watch." He scoffed while smiling and shook his head from side to side. I studied his facial features as he directed his full concentration onto the game in front of him.
"Y/N? You still up?" My mom called out from the front of my door. I looked at the top of my phone and had seen that it was already 1:30 in the morning. I looked at Jungkook for a second before answering my Eomma.
"Yah! Sorry mom! I just couldn't sleep, too excited for presenting my project tomorrow!" I huffed.
"You have a project tomorrow? Which teacher?" Jungkook put down his controller and looked over at my box that is supposed to have my face.
"Sh. Not you." I mumbled. He laughed and ruffled his hair.
"Oh okay sweetie, make sure to go to bed soon, you still have school tomorrow.." She warned as I heard her voice slowly fade meaning that she walked back into her room. I looked back at Jungkook and saw him not in his chair.
"Jungkook?" There was silence. I was about to hang up when I saw him run over to the camera.
"Ah sorry, sorry I was getting a drink. But I dropped it and- uh wait- Ah SORRY Y/N!" He quickly jumped of the frame. I never knew Jungkook looked so good without a shirt on. I took a deep breath to calm my now red face and started laughing.
"It's okay, it's okay!!" I giggled. His head poked into the frame and he smiled brightly.
"Aish, so cute. Hey Y/N, wanna go on a date with me?" He walked back over to his chair and sat down as he stared intently at the darkness I was hiding in. He smirked and suddenly flashed his lamp next to him to the phone. The light from his screen added some extra light to mine and allowed him to slightly see my facial features.
"Ah~ There she is.." He smiled while leaning back and crossing his arms behind his head. I quickly placed my thumb over my front camera and switched it to the rear camera showing him my room with the light glow from the moon coming in through the window.
"That ruined the fun. But you haven't answered me. Will you go on a date with me, Y/N?" He asked again while sitting up and moving the lamp from his phone.
"S-sure..." I replied. He looked at his camera with wide eyes, which soon turned into a bright smile. I was quick with my fingers and took a screenshot of the golden moment in front of me.
"Ah- How about tomorrow night? Um, at the studio down the street from the mall." He asked as he scooted his chair towards the desk that his phone sat on and started typing onto the keyboard below his hands.
"Sure. I've only been there once with two of my friends, but I didn't stay long. What time?"
"Now she talks, how about around 7:30pm?" He chuckled while staring intently at the computer screen.
"Sure." I smiled.
"It's settled then." He turned to look at the camera and smiled.
"I guess so."
