I was grateful that on my way home that no one deiced to be a stupid or crazy driver, well at least for tonight. Some people just have so much attitude at night. I feel that they think they are the only ones that have somewhere to be but there not. We all have somewhere to be.
Some people are just rude and they shouldn't be driving. On my way home from back from the shop I heard honking and realized someone was honking at me. Come to find out it was my parents. What are my parents doing out this late? They were driving their white explorer and they came beside me and my dad signaled for me to pull over next to them.
"Hey honey, It looked like that you were going a little fast there?" My mom said. I love my mom but she's always treating me like baby. I totally get it she's my mom and I'm her baby girl and she just wants to look out for me but sometimes it’s a bit too much.
"Oh come off her dear. She's fine. I know our Tyler and she's a great driver." That's my dad, he's a weird one but I love him. He's always on my side when my mother and I fight. Unless I'm wrong then he's on my mom's side. My parents are complete opposites of each other. While my mom is super short, my dad is super tall. My mom loves to eat fish. While my dad hate to eat fish but like to fish. My mom is very social while my dad is not social at all. That is until he drinks then no one can shut him up.
"Did you have to tell me something I would very much like to get home." I told them, I mostly wanted to go home and relax with a nice hot shower then a good book before bed,.
"Yes, I just wanted to remind you that were going to visit my mother in Oregon and will be gone for one week. But if she is gets worse then we might stay longer." I heard a grunt come from my dad. "Oh hush, now honey money for food is on the counter and all the emergency numbers are on the fridge. We love you lots we got to catch the plane." My mom blew me a kiss and I waved to them until they were out of sight.
I then started to head home again. My thoughts were then filled with grandma. She is about 85 years old. One of the sweetest persons I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. When we would go visit her we would go into the fridge a night and eat cookie dough.
She would say that we were cooking cookie dough in our stomachs, those were the goods times. She had gotten really sick a few months and my mom has been super worried about her. I'm glad she gets to go see her. I am also glad she didn't drag me along.
She had asked if I had wanted to go but I told her I had a lot of school work when in reality I just didn't want to go. Don't get me wrong I love my grandma but being in a car with my parents for more than an hour is not something I enjoy. I saw my house in view so I floored it.
My house was like any normal California home. It was one-stories light tan paint and a black roof top. I got off my bike and started to push it up my red brick driveway. I took a peak to my left and look at my small front yard that was just green grass, that you couldn't see because it was night time.
I pulled into our garage and parked my babe in the back so if anyone did park in here my bike wouldn't get hit. I entered my home through the door that was in the garage after I shut the giant metal door. I stepped into the hard wood flooring and looked around at my now quiet living room. My mom wasn't to big on having a cluttered house so in my living room all there was a brown leather coach that faced the flat screen my dad put up.
He had to beg my mom to let him get it. On the wall that was next to the TV was a giant glass window that was now covered with black drapes. I closed the door and headed down our small hallway and turned into my room. My mom let me decorate it myself so I painted all the walls tan but one wall I painted it teal. On the teal wall I covered the bottom with sea shell and some beach sand and painted waves and a sky with the clouds spelling my name.
I also added a few birds here and there. On the wall where my bed was I painted a giant shadow of a tree that took up most of the wall and put Christmas light up to look like leaves and for the other walls I just put up posters of my favorite bands. Across from the door I just went through was a small window that was next to my bed, it had just a black comforter and a few pillows. next to the window was the door that lead my bathroom.
At the end of my bed was a small door that was my closet. I kicked off my shoes and pulled of my jacket and just threw it on the floor. I ran and jumped onto my bed ,"oh, how I missed you my lovely bed." I grabbed one of my pillow and started to squeeze it supper tight. I didn't realize how tired I was until I felt my eyes start to drop close.
I wonder what I'm going to make for dinner? But it was to late I could already feel the pull of sleep. But before I accepted the darkness I could hear wolf howls, wait there aren't wolfs in California? Or are there?
