Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.
Ephesians 6:13-18 MSG

There are two substancial things in the life of a Christian: God's Word and Prayer.
Honestly I believe a Christian's life should resemble something like this:
0
<|> Read ----> Pray ----> Do
《》This is a circle that never ends. It should be a circle that never ends.
Never, ever make a decision without consulting God's word.
Why?
Why is this so important?
Because it's your weapon.
No-one goes to war unarmed. You have to be prepared. And God gave you the weapons you need!
Now that way when the enemy comes you'll stand with both feet planted on the ground. Unmoving. Unflinching. Knowing victory is on your side.
God also asks us to pray not just for ourselves, but for our brothers and sisters. For his church. Don't fall asleep! This defence is up to you. Don't let the enemy take what's yours!
Watch out for your brothers and sisters. Keep an eye open. Pray God asking him to give you strenght to keep your spirits up so that no-one falls behind or drops. Encourage them to stay firm on God's word.
That's what loving others is about.
