•~Where Chapter 12 left Off // Horace POV~•
"OH MY GOD!! BREATH!" are the painfully loud words that I'm greeted with as I feel my senses coming back to me. The feeling of a hand come in contact with my face, quite harshly too, is what made me shoot up from the sheets that surrounded me. As I open my eyes, I can hear the sigh of relief come from (Y/N), who's pacing around my bed, whispering things to herself.

"Do you have any freakin' idea how worried I was? You started screaming, crying, and acting like you were about to die!" She shouts at me, her voice slightly louder than the shout from a non-sound based peculiar. I sit there, clueless as to what's happening. "Oh my God, you were sleeping Horace! You were having a nightmare, apparently! You stopped breathing, and your heart stopped! I couldn't hear your heart beat, Horace! Do you understand how scary that is?!" She yells at me, her eyes almost turning red from trying to hold back the urge to slap me.

"I... I'm.. sorry. I didn't mean to. The visions, they were so.. real and... I'm sorry." I said while looking down.

"The sand.. what do those visions mean?.."

I sat there, slightly confused, but pondering about what happened. "Excuse me, why are you think about sand? And what did you dream about?" (Y/N) asks while pushing a loose strand of (H/C) hair back behind her ear.

I look back up at her, momentarily forgetting she could read my thoughts. "Nothing, just something in my dreams..." I say while shrugging. Her quizzical eyes look me up and down, she obviously can tell that I'm lying.

"Okay." She hesitantly says to me. "Well, you slept for a while. Breakfast in being prepared. Go get ready to eat, please." She sent me a smile before leaving my room and possibly going into hers.

"What does all this mean?" I quietly asked myself, not caring if she heard me with that peculiarly strong hearing of hers.

I got out of bed and changed my suit to one that (Y/N) had got me quite a while ago. I still loved it, though. It was one of the nicest things I own. I walked over to my dresser and grabbed the matching pin, it's color was the same (E/C) of (Y/N)'s eyes. There were little pins that matched the first one on my cuffs. I quickly clipped the pin on my dark blue tie, and went to the bathroom to comb my messy blonde hair.

•~No Time Skip // (Y/N) POV~•

He's lying, but I shouldn't pry too much. His mind is especially vulnerable right now, but I shouldn't take advantage of his current weak mental protection. He would be extremely mad at me if I were to take a deep dive into his brain.

"The sand... what does that mean?" I asked myself quietly. I paced around my room while thinking about what he meant.

"He wouldn't be too mad if I read his mind... right?"

I decided that it'd be okay, he wouldn't know that I read his mind, so, it should be fine.

I sat on my bed and closed my eyes, I tried to reach my mind out to connect with Horace. He was still in his room, which is relatively close to mine, so it didn't take to long to reach him.

•~No Time Skip // Third Person POV~•
(Y/N)'s (E/C) eyes glossed over with a milky glaze and her hands clenched into fists as her mind grabbed onto Horace. She could feel everything he was feeling, the soft fabric of his suit, the hardness of the gel in his hair, and the worry that had taken him over.

Horace, on the other hand, only felt the smallest of shivers, which he blamed on the fact that his room was cold.

(Y/N) needed to be quick, she hadn't done this very much before, but she still knew that it was a dangerous process for her. She could still feel everything going on in her body, so she could feel the white hot fire in her hand and feet, slowly making their way up her arms. She could feel trickle of something leaving her right nostril, but she was too close to finding out what Horace was thinking about to stop and wipe it.

Her fists tightened as she went deeper into his mind, looking for his most recent dream. She knew from her past experiences that dreams were very deep down, and that it was going to be difficult to reach them before she passes out.

To her, it was like walking down a hallway, but with a blindfold on and bear traps on the floor. She couldn't see the memories, but she could feel them. She could feel what went on in them, because they put her in the place of Horace, she could feel what he felt, and she could see what he saw.

Every once in a while, she'd come upon the remains of a lost memory. They'd rope her in and all she could see was a gray fog that blinded her from seeing two inches in front of her eyes.

Once she finally reached the dreams, she stumbled upon the latest one, the one with the aforementioned sand. She slipped into the dream and watched what was playing out before her eyes.
