Chapter 9

•~Time Skip : Day Jacob Arrives /Dinner Time/ (Y/N) POV~•
     While we were eating dinner, everyone was bombarding Jacob with questions about the future. To which, Miss Peregine said that we shouldn't ask things like that. "What is your peculiar, Jacob?" Someone asked, I couldn't tell who, mainly because Hugh sat next to me and all I could hear was the buzzing of the bees in his stomach. In all honesty, I was tempted to take the turkey and hit him with it, those bees never shut up!

     "Miss Peregine, I need to be excused." I told her, looking up from my plate and into her eyes. "Whatever for, Miss (L/N)?" She asked me while tilting her head to the side a little. "I need to get away from all this sound... it hurts my head." I said while slowly scooting my chair back and getting up. "Very well, be back as soon as possible." I nodded and left the room.

·~Horace POV~·
     I feel bad that she has to walk so far away to not hear us. "Why did she need to leave?" Jacob asks, confusion clearly written on his face. "Jacob, her ears are hypersensitive to sound, and we do get quite loud while eating dinner. She needs to get to a place where she can have piece and quiet, a place that only me and her know of." I told him. He looked like he understood what I said, so I went back to eating. "Well, aren't you just so close to her, Horace! It almost seems as if you've stalked her. Maybe our little Dream-Baby fancies the Loud Mouth!" Enoch said while laughing. I could feel my face getting red, I don't understand why he has to be so obnoxious..

     I also don't appreciate the fact that he called me and her those stupid names. "Honestly, Enoch! At least if I fancy someone, I have an actual chance of them liking me back! I mean, you play with clay dolls all day!" I shouted at him, he has absolutely no right to be teasing me, especially when he has a sadistic obsession with making his dollies kill each other.

·~(Y/N) POV~·
     Once I got to the tree, that was far away from the house, I quietly sat at the trunk of it. My head is throbbing and I don't feel like moving. With everyone's minds on overdrive about Jacob, it gets crazy.. Emma is going crazy about how cute he is, Enoch is jealous, Olive wants him to try her tea, Bronwyn wishes to see how strong he is, Fiona is wondering what his favorite flower is, Hugh wants to see Jacob's reaction to a bee sting, Horace is thinking about how odd his clothes are, and I want them to shut the hell up! I get headaches whenever everyone is thinking completely different things at the same time, which happens quite often.

     I take a deep breath and listen to the things around me. There's a family of raccoons a few trees away from me, the mother is watching me to see if I'm dangerous. I slightly open my eyes and slowly reach towards the mother raccoon, I've done this so many times before that I've mastered what to do with the raccoon and her family. I slowly scratched between her ears and she made a sound of approval, so I reached out and put her in my lap. She rested there and curled up. Her babies came rushing out of the den and started to chew on my shoes, my muddy, torn, and worn down shooes. I pick them up and lay them near their mom.

·~Time Skip : Going Back To The House // (Y/N) POV~·
     As I'm walking back to the house, I hear screaming, I'm still a long while away though. I speed up and pretty soon I'm running. As I get closer, I hear what sounds like Horace and Enoch's voices screaming. Once I get to the door, it practically sounds like they're voices are 10 times the actual sound, and it's all directed at my ears! I open the door and walk into the dining room. I look at Enoch and send a scream his way, to which, he falls on the ground and holds his ears.

"What the bloody hell is going on?!"
