"I Thought You'd Never Ask"

Early this morning, Harry called and asked if I wanted to tour London with him today. Considering I have no friends, and no job at the moment, I couldn't think of an excuse not to go, so I agreed.

I believe he's coming by the apartment to pick me up in less than 2 hours, so I jumped in the shower right away, feeling the need to wash my oily hair.

After I'm out of the shower, and my hair is partially dried, I knock on Danielle's bedroom door quietly. I hear loud footsteps approaching the door, and see the knob quickly turn.

"Good morning Aaron!" She smiles. It seems like she might've just woken up, but she looks just as beautiful as she did last night, almost as if she walked out of a movie.

I smile while contemplating what exactly to ask her. "Um, well Harry kind of asked me to..." I'm so embarrassed I can't even finish the sentence.

"Tell me everything!" Danielle practically screams, and pulls me by the arm over to her large bed. Her room is so tidy and organized that a pair of men's boxer shorts are almost impossible not to notice.

I'm sure she can see me staring, but unlike something I would do, she explains herself immediately like it's no big deal. "I meant to throw those in the laundry after Liam stayed over the last night." Danielle shrugs. I didn't know Liam stayed here last night.

"So, tell me about Harry." She honestly looks as though this information is going to be the most exciting thing that she hears about all week.

"Well, I don't know what to tell you, he's Harry." I don't mean to sound like a smart ass, but it just comes off that way.

Danielle's jaw drops and she hits me on the arm playfully. "No I mean the romantic details!" She slurs romantic making it very dramatic.

I don't even know if what Harry and I have is considered romantic. I've only know him for a day now, but something tells me that as long as I'm living with Danielle, she won't let us be anything less than friends.

"Well I did just meet him yesterday. I can't be in a mentally stable state of mind, and want anything romantic with someone I just became aquatinted with."

Danielle states at me with an open mouth. "Do you want to hear a story Aaron?" She sits back against her headboard and for the first time since I met her yesterday, she shows now smile or emotions.

I wonder what kind of story she is going to tell me. If she thinks I'm stupid enough to not know any of the classic fairytales, and starts reciting Sleeping Beauty...

"It's the story of how Liam and I first met." I let out a breath of relief and nod for her to continue.

"It was about 2 years ago at a party. I can't believe I'm telling you this." She pauses and covers her face with her hands.

"I used to be quite the party girl you could say, and at this particular party I had a little bit too much to drink. I wasn't quite aware of what I was doing at all times, and one thing led to another." Her cheeks turn bright red, and I'm starting to wonder exactly how her and Liam met.

"I woke up the next morning in the same house with all of the other people who were clearly too drunk to drive home the night before. I honestly barely remembered anything-I still don't, but I do remember meeting Liam. We instantly clicked and all I know is that even though I wasn't all there, it was love at first sight." She smiles slightly and stares off into the distance.

"Anyways I looked for him that morning, and he wasn't anywhere in the house. I checked outside and his car wasn't there-he took me for a drive that night. I honestly started crying, because I thought he hadn't remembered anything of our time together the night before." There is a moment where I feel bad for her, but then I remember how her and Liam are still together now, so there must be a happy ending to this story.
