Konkuk Dormitory
11:35amYoongi, Yuki, Taehyung, and Eliza were coming over today for lunch. And of course, to meet Jeon Jeongsan.
Jane made this sandwich for me when I slept over at her house back in high school. It was a Japanese lamb sandwich. And I instantly fell in love. I never knew a small girl like Jane could devour a sandwich to fast.
I cooked the lamb in soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and a bunch of weird peppers that I couldn't pronounce the names to. I spread one of each pairs of bread slices with a spicy cream sauce and laid a green pile of kale and lettuce on top. After glazing the meat in Tonkatsu sauce, I laid it on top of the greens and gently placed the other bread slice on top. When they were perfect, I neatly folded light pink napkins around each sandwich.
"You almost did it better than me," Jane chuckled in sarcastic amazement.
"Well, I tried my best," I sighed softly, shrugging my shoulders.
Someone buzzed our door.
"That must be them... I'll go wake up Jungkook," I walked back to the bedroom as Jane went to answer the door. As I walked down the corridor, I began to hear a soft voice singing. Jeongguk's. I peaked slightly through the cracked door.
What I saw, broke my heart and blessed my heart at once.
Our son was soundly asleep on Jeongguk's chest, grabbing his ear and sucking his tiny thumb. Eyes closed, my boyfriend sang softly.
"There's nothing like us..."
I tried my best to keep my breathing silent and steady. But I was come over with emotion and blurry vision.
"There's nothing like you... and me."
Hot tears ran down my cheeks and I bit my chapped lower lip, attempting to contain myself.
"Together, through the storm."
Jeongguk wouldn't stop smiling at Jeongsan after he realized he'd had a son. They instantly bonded, and Jeongsan always fell asleep in his arms. It tore my heart that I had to separate them. All because I couldn't keep my damn legs closed...
I sighed deep, rubbing my cheeks dry with my palms. Pushing the door open with a light creek, I smiled at my boys.
He laid with one hand behind his head. He tilted his head slightly, chopping his bumblegum.
"What's wrong?" He softly added, "Your eyes are glistening."
I sniffled, rubbing my eyes. "I-I'm fine."
He gently moved our son off of him, then walked over to me quietly. He rubbed my back up and down and he pulled me into an embrace, kissing my forehead softly.
"My lips," I whispered.
He raised one eyebrow slightly as he smirked, pink bubblegum between his perfect teeth. He leaned in swiftly, kissing my lips teasingly. I pulled away with a giggle when his flavored bubblegum was in my mouth. I pushed his shoulder.
"Your friends are here, ya nasty. Go eat, I gotta change out of these rags," I rolled my eyes, chewing the bubblegum.
He closed the door behind him as he left. I pulled out my phone and dialed the number with shaky fingers. I listened to the monotone ring until the soft voice answered.
My heart tinged with guilt before I spoke, "Eomma... will you do one last thing for me?"
I looked back at my son with teary eyes.
My jaw dropped with an astonished smile as Yoongi took out the sandwich I made. After each bite, he looked at the sandwich as if he wanted to buy it the most expensive wedding ring in Korea.
I looked over at Yuki as she sat beside Jeongguk, greeting the baby on his lap. But... when I looked down, her hand rested on Jungkook's upper thigh. I met my boyfriend's eyes as he nervously kept looking them from my eyes to her hand. I dismissively shook my head, masking the jealousy.
Just then, Liz walked in looking more stressed then I ever saw her. She was crying.
"Have a sandwich!" Jane through a lamb sandwich at her.
"Fuck your sandwich," She through it hard at Yoongi. He picked it up off of his lap and began to eat it. "I broke up with Taehyung."
Everyone in the room froze like a deer in headlights. I couldn't believe it-they've been together far before the day I met them. Jane stood up, rushing to her bestfriend's side.
"Waifu, it'll be okay. Let's go," Jane opened the door. "Let's talk about it."
She sighed deeply before leaving with the petite girl. I tilted my head in confusion. Jane was so prepared, as if she knew something. I shook my head before looking back at my guests. My son had began to cry.
Taehyung's POV
I drove my first into the wall, unsatisfied with the sharp crack in the wood. I sighed deeply, leaning my back against the wall as I sunk to the floor. My knuckles began to bleed.
Elizabeth cheated on me. With a motive to repay me for what I did for her. I left Jisoo, and wanted to come clean about everything. I wanted her, only her. But I waited too long.
I sucked in a breath as I heard the front door opened and slam. Footsteps come barely be heard.
"Kim Taehyung," Jane's voice was cold outside of my bedroom door. "Open the door."
I got up from the edge of the bed, opening the door. I immediately looked down at the smaller girl. Her arms crossed, she looked me up and down before poking my chest.
"Liz is hot!" She rolled her eyes. "How could you even-"
"I'm not talking to you about this," I swung the door closed. Jane winced as I slammed her shoe in the door. With a careless shrug, she removed her foot from the doorway. I saw the blood from my knuckles beside the tip of her converse high.
"Fine," She walked away towards the front door. "If you don't care, we even talk about it."
I scoffed.
She stood in the doorway, the doorknob in her small hand.
"Just when things were about to be normal again," She muttered before closing the door.
