"Together 'till the end of the line"

Pale green doors were pushed open by soldiers, keeping their palms flat against the door to let Elizabeth through.

Her close to flat heels clicked rhythmically on the smooth floor, walking through the small row of seats before leaning on the cold steel barrier on the small balcony looking over and spotting Steve already looking up at her.

She sent him a kind smile, as he blushed and made her way down the stairs towards him. Immediately she walked over to him and engulfed him in her arms. He fit perfectly under her chin. She kissed his hair and whispered a sweet good luck in his ear.

He pulled back and looked her in the eyes and whispered "Together 'till the end of the line".

She smiled happily at him, and whispered the same words back to him.

The doctors pulled them apart nicely and walked Steve over to his chamber to get himself strapped in. Whilst waiting for him, Elizabeth made her way to the Howard Stark - who was glancing over the machines to check everything was in order for the 'surgery'.

She paused next to him once they were shoulder to shoulder, he glanced at her and sent her a smile before looking back at his equipment, then again he glanced at her and as if sudden realisation dawned upon him. He spun on his heel and gave her a quick hug.

"I missed you Eli!" He spoke to her

"I missed you too!" She laughed.

Elizabeth heard her name being called lightly, and turned around to see Steve looking towards her, to everyone else he must of looked so brave and confident but once she looked in his eyes - she could tell he was scared it wouldn't work.

Slowly she began making her way towards him, leaning on the edge of the metal chamber, she peered down at him with soft eyes, hoping to give him some comfort.

"You comfortable Steve?" She said softly.

He breathed deeply before nodding his head.

"Well then... I'll see you soon Soldier" She whispered with a kind enchanting smile.

He smiled back at her, wanting to raise his head and plant a sweet kiss on her pink plump lips but couldn't find the courage in himself to make the move - especially when he thought it was too early.

Elizabeth stepped away, and walked back towards her old friend - Howard Stark and began catching up with him as Steve was completely immersed in the container and surgery.

Screams abruptly echoed from inside the container, Elizabeth flinched, her whole body lurching towards Stark to grip at his bicep to turn him away from the controls and towards the green container.

"Shut it down!" Agent Carter screamed from the viewing section.

Loudly, Steve screamed "No!", he didn't care in that moment if he died or not - he wanted to prove himself as something - a Hero. A few minutes later, the screaming from the contraption ceased to a stop.

Elizabeth quickened her pace towards it as it opened, a sweat on her brow - worried for Steve.

Gasping, her hand flew to her mouth once seeing the man (known to be Steve) stumble out of the green chamber, he was at least a head taller than her now, his muscles buldging from his gut and chest, his biceps firmer, as her eyes travelled down his body.

His hand rose from his side to grip gently at Elizabeths chin, pushing her face towards his, she whispered a timid hi, before jumping and wrapping her arms and legs around him. They both laughed at the differences compared to what it was like before hand. Everyone else in the lab began laughing a long with them.

"Look out!"

The sound of a gunshot ricochet from the pale walls, piercing one of the kindest men to have lived that era. Following a loud bang bounced and shook the room, chairs flew from under people, as the blast knocked them down.

Steve stayed with the dying doctor, trying his hardest to help whilst Elizabeth caught sight of the calm fleeing murderer and sped after him. Her continuous shouts echoed through the building, his gunshots answering back.

Just avoiding the bullets, Elizabeth broke a sweat, she continued to sprint as fast as she could, seeing the man climb into a car; gun men still trying to assist him. Twisting and turning down short cuts and streets.

Steve had managed to catch up to Elizabeth, giving her a quick glance to make sure she wasn't hurt. Satisfied with what he saw he raced next to her after the Hydra Agent. Surprisingly Steve was neither faster nor slower than the Goddess.

Rounding up onto the harbour, the car flipped, the hud smashing over and over on the concrete floor. Citizens of Brooklyn frantically trying to get out of the way.

When getting out of the automobile, the man continued to fire shots, Steve ripped the car door from its owner and held it up in front of Elizabeth and himself; not knowing that she would of been able to create a forcefield.

Pain stricken, Elizabeth face contorted quickly when she saw the shooter had a young boy in his arms and a gun to his head, walking away from the child's screaming mother.

"Hey, hey leave the child alone. He has nothing to do with this!" She spoke apprehensively, her arm reaching forward, small steps towards him.

She could hear Steve whispering frantically for Elizabeth; she continued to ignore him and walk towards the man with his hostage. Looking behind him he sprinted pushing himself and the boy in the water.

His mother let out a heart wrenching scream, sobs left her mouth with struggled muffled words. He can't swim.

Immediately Elizabeth sprinted after them, the clang of the door almost unheard as it hit the door. Steve sprinted after her.

Once they both reached the edge, they dove in. Elizabeth went straight to the sinking boy, he was flailing and panicking his mouth opening trying desperately to gain some air. Elizabeth lost Steve presuming he went after the Agent.

She pushed the water behind her and expertly swam towards him, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist she brought him back to the surface her legs kicking wildly to break surface.

Keeping a strong grip on the boy, she flipped her hair out of her face and held the boy close as he sobbed and coughed.

She swam to the side where she jumped in and lifted the boy in her arms up to his mother, who held him so close and fussed over her child.

A few men near by jogged over and pulled Elizabeth out of the water, giving her a blue blanket.

Cut off one head, two more shall take its place. Hail Hydra!
