alone, I wilted like a daffodil in summer's heat.
for how could I live, how could I thrive
without you by my side?without someone to fill my days
with flower petals and honey?as I fell towards the earth,
I finally understood
how stars must feel
when they die.for I too caved in,
one second at a time.
