Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep

Oh, come on! Where’s the damn snooze button on this thing? And who set it to go off in the first place anyway? Last night I didn’t even have an alarm clock!  I mentally shouted, turning the alarm clock around in my hands, desperately in search of a snooze button. Or even better, the off button! But no luck what-so-friggen-ever!

Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep

“Shut up.” I growled and climbed reluctantly out of my bed. Quickly walking over to the open window, I tossed it outside. The clock landed with a thud on the grass below, but annoyingly the stupid thing still beeped. I slammed shut the window to drown out some of the noise, but you could still hear a faint sound of beeping.

This has Justin written all over it. I’m so getting him back for this. But I’m gonna do it when he least expect it.

As soon as I got back into bed I remembered my plans for today. I wanted to go explore the woods a little before Justin and I go down to first beach later. And about 5 o’clock we’re all supposed to go over to Ashley’s friend for dinner. So it’s best to some exploring a little early.

Thank you for the wake up call Justin. Well, your plan just backfired.  But I’m still gonna get him back somehow.

I quickly got out of bed for the second time in under a minute and made my way to my bathroom. I quickly took a warm shower, brushed my teeth, tied my hair in a messy ponytail and went back to my room and got dressed. When I was done with that, I grabbed my bag with my sketchbook, pencils, and camera in it and went downstairs. Everyone was in the kitchen busy eating breakfast. Without me! I feel so special. (please note the sarcasm)

“Morning.” Everyone cheerfully greeted.

“Morning.” I replied and stole the last piece of bacon out of Alex’s plate and took a bite, sitting down between Justin and Alex.

“Go ahead Danni,” Alex said sarcastic, but smiled and gestured to his plate. “Help yourself.”

“Thanks, but I already did.” I put the remaining half of the bacon in my mouth and chewed it very slowly, taunting him. Alex shook his head, laughing and continued eating what was left in his plate.

“Can I get you something?” Ashley asked, starting to get up from her chair, but I stopped her.

“No, it’s okay. I’m good.” I said and took a piece of toast out of Justin’s plate and took a big bite.

“That’s mine.” Justin whined like a little kid.

“Not anymore.” I replied and took another big bite.

Justin rolled his eyes. “How’d you like your morning present?” he smirked.

“It was a great help thanks.” I smirked, while his faded. “But I’m still gonna get you back for that. And you won’t even see it coming.”

“Oh, really?” He asked sarcastic.

“Yup, I’m like a ninja.” I did my best to do a move like a ninja usually does with their hands, but I nearly fell off my chair.

Everyone laughed. “You are so not a ninja.” Justin said, still laughing.

“Did you see me do that?” I asked getting up from my chair and walked over to the door.

“Do what?” Justin asked confused.

“Exactly.” I winked at him and took another big bite out of my toast, then turned around and headed for the front door.

Oh sure! Blame the new kid. (Seth Clearwater imprint story)Where stories live. Discover now
