Yoshiki pressed the torn piece of clothing against Satoshi's stomach, trying to stop the bleeding.

The brunette's chest slowly went up and down, breathing harshly.

"God damn it!" Yoshiki swore under his breath. How had this happened? Oh yeah, the idiot had taken the blow for him from Yoshikazu.

They had been walking towards down one of the hallways, trying to find the others when the bastard Yoshikazu arrived, swinging around a pair of shears, attempting to stab them. They had almost successfully outran him until they he had jumped and grabbed Yoshiki in the leg.

Satoshi being the idiot savior he was had pushed aside the blonde  only to recieve the blow meant for the other. Yoshiki hiding and Yoshikazu believing that the other had escaped and Satoshi was dead had left.

Afterwards the two had staggered back to the infirmary, trying to save the brunette's life.

Now, that they had successfully locked themselves in the infirmary Yoshiki was trying to block the blood flow and create a blood clot to officially stop it.

Yoshiki looked at Satoshi's face, even through the pain he had somehow not started to cry. His breathing was shallow Yoshiki noted before Satoshi looked weakly over at Yoshiki.

"Thank you for... Trying to save....me" He said smiling.

Yoshiki felt hopelessly weak, it was obvious the bleeding wasn't going to stop and his friend was going to die because of his incompitant hands. Because he couldn't protect his friends.

  Satoshi's face turned "I...don't want to...leave everyone...I wanna be..with you...I wanted to grow old....and live a happy life....! I wanted..to see...Yuka graduate...do you think you could take pictures? Hopefully....I'll see them....

"I'm sorry Satoshi, I'm so so sorry" He said softly, trying to at least make Satoshi's last moments good.

"I-I have a c-confession to make to you through" He said surprising the other.

Yoshiki nodded, it was time for his friend to say as much as he could on his deathbed.

Satoshi face turned into a healthy red blush and he attempted to cover his face with his hands "I-I l..... You" he mumbled.

"What?"

"I l-love you!" He exclaimed.

Yoshiki blinked in utter confusion. Wha?

"I r-really wanted f-for you to k-kiss me and I-I wanted to b-be happy with you!" He hiccuped.

Yoshiki eyes widened and his cheeks reddened as well at his friends confession.

What was he supposed to say? His best friend was dying in front of him and had confessed his love for him. Yoshiki was in love with Ayumi, but for the sake of Satoshi's last breaths he would do this for him.

"You can leave if you find me disgusting now" The brunette sniffled, trying to turn over.

Yoshiki couldn't find him anywhere near disgusting. Love was love, no matter the gender or if it was onesided.

He stopped Satoshi from turning over before answering " I love you too"

Yoshiki knew it was a flat out lie, but it was for the best.

The smaller male looked at him in amazement "Y-you do?"

Yoshiki nodded and he felt his chest constrict when he saw Satoshi eyes light up.

"I'm sorry for a-asking this but can-can you kiss me?" He asked, gently.

Yoshiki wondered if he should decline the request, he knew that the other had never shared a kiss (he hadn't either) with anyone.

Both of them had only learned what a kiss was like from the whispers of the other boys in middle school.

Deciding he would, He smiled a watery smile and leaned over to touch their lips together. Surprisingly Satoshi's lips were soft, like rose petals.

Yoshiki gently nudged Satoshi's lower lip asking for entrance, which the brunette gave. They're tounges tangled together in a sort of way they had never experienced. before.

Satoshi tasted sweet like vanilla carmel mixed together into a blend, it was almost addictive.

They parted soon enough, a string of their saliva connecting them. Yoshiki took deep breaths and looked the other who was breathing shallowly, his face a dark red.

Tears began building in Satoshi's face "I....I'm afra..id to die..."

He tried to reassure the other as best as he could "It's going to be alright, I'm here"

Yoshiki felt like his heart was breaking into tiny shards, shards that couldn't be repaired as Satoshi vented.

Satoshi's breathing slowed down more "It's....cold....really...cold"

Yoshiki took off his jacket and layed it on the brunette, attempting to keep him warm.

"Huh....you..make..me feel...war..m" Satoshi trailed off his eyes turning glassy and his chest, no longer moving.

His smile was still there, happy that he could be with a loved one even when he died. Yoshiki raised his hand over the brunette's face and gently closed his eyes.

Satoshi looked like he was peacefully sleeping, the jacket covering the ugly wound from sight. Yoshiki felt wetness on his own cheeks and touched them, he was crying.

He choked down a sob, and stood up. His mind flashed to all the times he had made Satoshi smile. In good times or bad. Or that one time they had climbed the Sakura tree last year.

His mind froze on that image, Satoshi sitting up in the tree waving and smiling.

He immediatly sank back down to his knee's, pathetically. He..he.. Wouldn't ever get to see that smile again, would he?

It was a smile he loved, almost as much as he loved the brunette himself.
