It got late

I told you to stay the night

You agreed

I said I would sleep on the couch

You resisted at first but eventually gave in once I threatened to take the yellow blanket away

You loved the yellow blanket

You went into my room to sleep

I soon heard laughter

I came rushing in wondering what happened

You pointed to the deflated yellow balloon on the floor

I laughed with you and picked up the balloon rubber miserably

'I guess it deflated earlier today' I sighed and put it in my draw

'You're keeping it?' You asked

I nodded 'of course, goodnight'

You bid me goodnight, I left the bedroom and turned the lights off

I went to sleep on the coach knowing you were happy

I bet you are even cuter when you sleep
