We had been at the amusement park for almost the whole day

Night had robbed us of the daytime colours as the sky began to darken

We climbed into our own carriage on the Ferris wheel

Sitting opposite one another you stared out the window, watching the ground get further and further away

I was too busy admiring the view right in front of me

You described how the only thing you could see was the lights in peoples windows, the rest being pitch black

We reached the top, you turned round to face me, smiling

Nervously, you swung your legs as if you were waiting for something to happen

Maybe this was my chance
