I sat in the drivers seat, the music was bumping as we drove down the freeway back to my hometown. My momma on my right and Lainey in the back seat
I tried to glance back at her as much as I could, fuck she's fine.. I can't let her get away again
I know she don't trust me, but I gotta win that back somehow. I tried to stay the fuck outta her and Ethan's way and I was gunna let it play out but she just keeps fallin back into my arms so I know damn well that's where she belong, I hope she realizes
"You're quiet, son?" My momma asked
"Got a lot on my mind that's all" I replied
"Like what?!" Lainey eagerly asked from the back
I smirked, "damn Lainey gotta be up in the cool-aid" she laughed
"You can always talk to me Diego and Lainey is always all ears" my mom said as she patted me on the shoulder, I loved spending time with my girls

We pulled off the freeway onto the exit where my moms new house was. She was hella happy for the new crib and I was hella happy to be able to give her that. She didn't like LA all too much so I was glad to get her set up in her hometown.
Seeing a smile on my mommas face was the best thing but in the back of my mind I wanted to be alone with Lainey finally.

We pulled up to the new crib and Lainey and I helped get all my moms stuff inside and squared away.
I loved seeing Lainey and my moms laughing together. Moms always loved Lainey since we were kids. Fuck me too

"You guys want to stay for dinner?" My momma asked, expecting a yes, she's silly asf.
"Yes mom" I said laughing
"I'll go pick somethin up y'all stay here and finish up"

"Send me a text of you're orders" I said before closing the front door
