Chapter 12: Liar, Liar

Angel's POV:

I had no idea what Cameron meant by his comment, but I sure do hope he wasn't trying to say what I think he's saying. I just ignore his comment and text him again.

itzzangell_o: okk so when are you gonna surprise her?
thecameronboyce: maybe tmrrow but give me ur number
itzzangell_o: for why? 💀
thecameronboyce: so i can call you when I get there lmao😂
itzzangell_o: oh alrighttt

I thought it was weird for him to want my number, but I guess he thought it was easier. I give him my number and continue on with the conversation.

We decided that he would take a plane to fly here after school tomorrow, and he would come inside our school just to make everyone jealous. April's going to be so happy.

It will be perfect.

Chloe's POV:

Angel told me about her and Cameron's idea for him to visit April. I was excited for her, but I honestly didn't want to see him. I didn't tell Angel or April that it seemed like Cameron was sort of hitting on me. I didn't know if he meant it as a friend way or more, but I hope it was a friend way. He DM me on Instagram saying:

thecameronboyce: hey it's April's friend that you saw on ft, and you're actually really pretty 😉

I decided to keep it friendly.

I wasn't about to interfere with my friend's love life. I love April too much to do that to her. I invited Angel over so we can figure out how to sneak Cameron into our school.

"Okay, so after school we'll meet him by the main doors, sneak him in, and bring him to Apirl's last class. Once she walks out, BOOM, she's happy," Angel explains to me.

I laugh. "I know, you told me a MILLIEon times," I say joking. "Oh my God, Chloe! I'm telling Noah you did that lame pun," she laughs while pointing at me. I giggle trying to grab the phone away from her. "Don'tttt! He doesn't know I watched it," I say.

"He 'WILL' now," she jokes while pressing the send button. We both burst into laughter uncontrollably. "I'm telling him you did that horrible joke, too," I giggle while pulling out my phone.

Noah's POV:

I hear my phone ding multiple times in a row. I check it to see that Angel made a group chat with me and Chloe in it.

Chloe still didn't know about me and Angel. Unless Angel already told her, she probably didn't because she would ask me first, anyway.

I didn't feel like putting up with my sister and her nonsense. Besides it's not her relationship so why should it matter if me and Angel are dating anyway? I got an Incoming Call from Chloe and was tempted to decline it, but I answer anyway.

"So, you and Angel are dating?" Chloe asks immediately. "Well, hello to you too, my fellow sister," I say greeting her. "Noah, answer my question," she says sternly. "N-no, we're not dating. Like we said, we're besties and people think we're a thing," I say lying to her.

I hope Angel didn't already tell her the truth.

"Why did you leave the chat then? And Angel said the same thing. You guys better not be lying to me," she says seriously. "We're not. I left because I just felt like it," I say. I'm literally the worst liar on earth. I heard Angel talking in the background. "Chloe, we're bestfriends," she says happily.

Angel made the lie almost believable. I heard Chloe take a deep breath over the phone. "Alright. Just making sure," she says. She says goodbye and hangs up before I could say bye back. I sigh a breath of relief and lay back on my bed.

That was a close one.
