Chapter 25: The Party

Chloe's POV:

As much as it hurts to let Finn go, I had to move on.

Maybe I'm moving too quick, I thought to myself. I shook away the thought in my mind and kept looking forward to my plan.

"So, you want me to fake being your boyfriend just to make Finn and April jealous?" Cameron asks me curiously.

"N-n-not April. I've already, uh, caused enough trouble," I stuttered. Cameron moved towards me and held my hands in his.

"But I don't want to be your fake boyfriend.. I want to be your real boyfriend," he confessed to me. I quickly moved my hands from his grasp.

I gulped. "I don't think A-April would be okay with that-us, I mean," I struggled to say. I averted my eyes, just to prevent me from making eye contact with him. I didn't know why I was so nervous.

Cameron stood up and just glared at me. He started walking towards the door. "You get out tomorrow, right?" He asked.

"Yeah... why?" I asked him curiously. "I-I go back home tomorrow," he muttered.

"What? How come you didn't tell me!" I exclaimed. He slowly walked back towards me and placed his hands on my shoulder, indicating that I should calm down. I shrugged, forcefully removing his hands from off of me.

He stayed silent. "Well?!" I yelled.

"Chloe. Calm down," he said quietly to me.

"For why? You weren't going to tell me you were leaving!" I yelled once again, on the verge of tears. He ran his fingers through his hair. He walked back up to the door, and before leaving he mumbled, "I didn't tell anyone I was leaving." then he slammed the door.

I jumped from the loud sound of the door. I was alone, once again. Tears were forming in the corner of my eyes, but I refused to let them fall, so I quickly wiped them away with my sleeve.

"No more crying," I firmly told myself. "I won't allow myself to get hurt easily anymore,"

"Not this time," I added.

Angel's POV:

Me and Heaven, Noah's new neighbor, actually became friends pretty quickly. Me and Noah were planning a surprise for Jordan since it was her birthday tomorrow. We had all 'Stranger Things' decorations set in a small warehouse, and had called the whole cast for them to come. Fortunately, all of them can make it.

"How old is Jordan turning?" I asked Heaven. "Thirteen," she replied.

"Ah, the big teen years," Noah said while chuckling. Both me and Heaven laugh, and I playfully hit Noah.

"Shut up, Noah," I replied while giggling. He tackled me into a hug.

"I would never," he replied as I tried wiggling out of his grip.

*NEXT DAY*

Today was the day of Jordan's party. I had invited April and she said she would be there, but I didn't invite Cameron. I invited Chloe because she told me that she was going to get out of the hospital today. I knew she was at home, but I didn't call her yet. I decided to call her anyway, knowing that she would be upset if I didn't.

I pressed her contact number and lightly touched the call button. She answered after a few rings.

"Hey bestest best friend ever," I said happily to her. I heard her lightly giggle over the phone, and it sounded like she was doing well.

"Hey best best bestie friend," she said with excitement. "I missed you," I said sadly. "I did too," she replied while fake pouting.

"Are you coming to the party tonight?" I asked her with my voice full of hope. "Oh... I don't know.." she let her voice drag.

"Please, please, please!" I begged her. She laughed loudly, but quickly became quiet. Chloe sighed and finally responded. "Alright, fine," she muttered.

"Oh my! Yay!" I exclaimed. "Ow, Angel. My ears," she said while giggling lightly. "Sorryyy, you know the times right?"

"Yes," she said bluntly.

"Okay, okay. I'll see you there," I said before hanging up.

"Most def," she replied.

I hung up the phone and looked in the mirror. I rummaged through my closet to decide on what I wanted to wear. I finally chose an outfit, which had a pastel pink shirt with black jeans and fancy black, spiky flats. (Pic on top) I curled my hair and applied very little makeup.

I was in the warehouse with Noah, Finn, April, Gaten, Sadie, Millie, and Caleb. We all were hiding behind furniture, or trying to stuff ourselves into tight spaces in order to not be seen. Caleb was standing by the door to make sure that we could yell 'Surprise!' for Jordan.

Caleb quickly made a bird call, which was our cue, and we all quickly hid in our spots and Sadie turned the lights off. The second the door opened, the lights turned back on and you could hear us all yell "Surprise!" with music playing in the background.

"Woah, guys it's only me," Chloe announced. We all groaned and I went over towards Chloe and giggled.

"Come on Chloe, you need to hide," I said to her. She giggled and followed me. April came up behind me and whispered in my ear.

"Why is she here?" She asked me.

I knew then, that night, would be trouble.
