Chapter 3

It felt strange walking with a stranger, but at least she was a girl. After about 5 minutes of walking, she spoke first.

"You okay?" She asked, giggling lightly. "Yeah, they just scared me a little back there," i replied.

"Dont mind them, all they want is sex."

I knew that. Thats what i DIDNT want. Thats what i was scared of. Sex.

"Where are we going?" i asked.

She stopped walking and turned to face me, and i stopped as well.

"I dont think I've properly introduced myself, my names Diamond, but people call me Dee," she said, smiling.

"Lycia," i said, smiling back.

"Nice to meet-" she cut off mid sentence then started laughing.

"This is so cliche!" she laughed. I started laughing along with her, thinking the same thing. I think i liked Dee.

We stopped laughing after a while. Dee turned and looked at me with her big blue eyes.

"Hey, you wanna hang at my place for a while?" She asked. I didnt know her yet, but i felt this weird connection to her. Like we were meant to be friends.

"Sure," i nodded and smiled. Dee stopped and held her thumb up to call a taxi. I've never ridden in a taxi before.

Beside all these thoughts, i was kind of excited that id made a new friend. Well.. I think she was my friend. I felt like a child.

When we got to her small apartment, i tripped on the stairs and fell. She giggled a little and helped me up. we walked up the stairs together, me being careful this time. When we got inside the room, she told me to take a seat and feel at home.

"Want a drink?" She asked.

"Um, sure," i replied. I hoped she meant juice or something, because i didnt drink. Just as i thought, she brought out a glass of wine in one hand, holding the bottle in the other.

"Oh, i dont drink," i shyly said.

"CMON! your kidding right?" she asked.

"Nope"

"Live a little. Try it. Its not that bad. Just this once," she begged.

"Fine," i finally agreed. As i took a sip of the bitter drink, i found myself chugging it, and asking for more.

About an hour later, the both of us were laughing and telling funny childhood stories. Then, it got silent.

"Why were you walking all alone today. And you seemed like you were upset," she asked. I told her the story. EVERYTHING. Even about my dad. Which i told nobody. I really hoped she was trustworthy, which she seemed she was. She gave "awws" and "ohhs" while i told my story. At the end, she gave me a huge hug and a tissue. Just then did i realize, both me and her were crying.

It's been my 6th drink and i cant think straight. Im getting pretty tired but this is fun. Im having fun for the first time in a while. Fun.. Seems like a foreign word. Im so glad i ran into Dee. After 20 minutes, the both of us were passed out on the sofas. I just made a new friend.
