First day of hell

I was awoken by the extremely irritating bleeping of my alarm. I rolled over and looked at the time, 7:00. I huffed and rolled out of bed and dragged myself into my bathroom. I looked into my mirror and scowled, I was a mess. My hair was crazy and was a mix between a nest and Amy Winehouse' beehive.

I stripped down and put my hair up and jumped into the shower. I didn't need to wash my hair because I washed it last night but I wanted to feel nice and clean before school. Feeling wide awake, I wrapped a fluffy towel around me and walked into my walk-in wardrobe. I picked out a pair of blue skinny jeans, a navy and white striped top and a pair of navy converse. I walked up to my dressing table and brushed my hair, plaiting it into a fish tail braid and securing it with a small white flower. I kept my make up quite simple and applied concealer, pink blusher and mascara and a little pink gloss on my lips. I smiled at myself in the mirror pleased with my work.

I grabbed my bag and phone and walked downstairs and into the kitchen. My mom was making breakfast and my dad was sitting at the table reading his paper while Joseph sat and played with George.

"Morning, breakfast?" My mom said to me with a sweet smile.

"Um, no I'm okay, I'm going to head off to school now so I can have a little look around and get sorted" I replied back with a smile. I grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl on the table and gave Joseph and my mom and dad a small kiss.

I got outside and started walking to school. It was only a 10 minute walk so I didn't mind walking. I walked past an empty park and a small ice cream shop with a help wanted sign in the window. I'll have to go and see about a job at the weekend, it'd be nice to make some money for myself without having to bug my mom and dad every time I want to buy something. Not long later, I arrived at school. I walked through the parking lot that was almost empty. There was a group of guys and a couple of girls with them. I kept my head down when I heard someone call my name.

"POPPY!" There is only one person it could have been. Why me?

"POPPY!" He shouted again. Keep your head down Poppy pretend you didn't hear him.

"HEY POPPY! HEY! OVER HERE!" God dammit. I turned my head slowly and came face to face with none other than Hunter Reid. He was wearing a pair of jeans, a grey button up shirt and a black leather jacket. His gang of friends who I had seen yesterday were all gathered around a car and a motor bike. Some were even smoking. So I'm guessing they were the bad boys.

"What do you want Hunter?" I asked harshly.

"So you got my text?" He asked me with a smirk. Arrogant jerk.

"Yeah I got your text" I said trying to imitate his voice. "Anyway, how did you get my number?"

He looked at me and laughed a little. He looked down at his shoes and then back at me. "I have my ways. Let's just say, I have a friend". His arms were folded across his chest and he was looking down at me.

"Whatever, I gotta go" I said turning back around and heading for the doors but something stopped me. A certain someone was holding onto my hand sending sparks up my fingers. I could feel my cheeks starting to heat up.

"I forgot to say," he said pulling me closer so we were chest to chest and he was staring into my eyes, "welcome to hell, doll". He shot me a wink before walking back over to his friends and laughed with them while they all high-fived. No way was that the second time he played me! I shook my head and walked into school and picked up my locker number and timetable. I could already tell today was going to be a nightmare.

After my first class I headed off to maths. I was wandering around the hallways for a good 10 minutes looking for my class room. I was so late, I just hoped this teacher let me off. After another five minutes, I came face to face with the door I was looking for. I took a breath and opened the door revealing a full class and an angry looking teacher. Oh shit.
