Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu

Team mates

{Zerina POV}

After about a day's walk, Sensei Sue had lead me to a place in Ninjago that i had never been before. There was many tall mountains, which one of them we were climbing. "Sensei, pardon me for asking, but when will we get to where i will train to become a ninja?" i ask as Sensei disappears behind the next ledge. "No need to ask. We have arrived." Sensei Sue replies. i crawl around the ledge and find Sensei standing at the doors of a Monastery. 

i stand and join Sensei at the giant wooden doors. "I do not understand Sensei, why have you brought me to a monastery when i am suppose to train? A monastery is a place of peace is it not?" i ask sensei, though she only sips her tea. "To be a ninja, you must be able to see what others do not." she replies pushing the door open.

i did not expect a training course inside. It consisted of a bunch of different things, bouncing pillars, spinning 'trees', a carousel of dummies with wooden swords and another carousel with spinning axes  and swords. interesting.

i find two other girls my age with black ninja gi's already training on the course. when they saw me and Sensei enter, they stopped training and approached us. "These are your new team mates, Claire and Jackie." sensei introduces my team mates as they removed their hoods. Claire has long black hair and dark brown eyes,she is very tall and muscular while Jackie, who has long orangish-brown hair that was in a braid, fierce blue eyes, dozens of freckles on her face (and a peculiar scar on her left eyebrow), was short and less muscular. 

"greetings. i am Zerina." i say to them as they give me questioning looks. "greetings?" Jackie mumbled raising her scarred eyebrow. "is that not what you say to each other when meeting for the first time?" i ask. Claire and Jackie looked at each other with questioning expressions. 

"Enough talking, Jackie, show Zerina to your room." sensei ordered. "yes sensei, follow me Zerina." Jackie said with a small bow before taking off across the monastery. "so where you from Zerina?" Jackie asks me opening a door that leads inside. "Ninjago." i reply. Jackie stops and turns to face me. "no, i-i mean what part of Ninjago?" she asks. 

"The forest." i reply again. Jackie looks confused but turns and continues down a long hallway and stops at the door at the far end. "o-okay. well this is our room." she says opening the door. the room has two bunk beds. Jackie climbed onto one of the top bunk which i assumed was hers, on the wall was a poster of a band called The Fold, a blueprint, and a picture of a man and a woman who i guessed was her parents. Claire's bed had black duffel bag and tons of clothes piled on top of the sheets. the bed above Claire's was empty and the one below Jackie's had a black ninja gi folded neatly on it. 

"you're bunking with me by the way. hope you don't mind that i took the top." Jackie said flipping through a PC Gamer magazine. " I do not mind." i reply. Claire came into the room. "Sensei says that as soon as Zerina gets changed into her gi, we can continue training." Claire says crossing her arms. Jackie groaned. "But we were training all day." she whines. 

"Welcome to the ninja life Zerina. You're gi is on your bunk, Jackie- let's go." Claire orders walking out of the room. Jackie heaves a sigh but follows Claire. "See ya out there." she says with a grin before closing the door and leaving. i held up the gi and looked at it. it looks like i am a ninja now.
