I open my eyes in shock the lucas says " im sorry I should have said that , umm lets forget about it yeah " I nod slowly ,making the whole atmosphere akwards when we arrive at the apartment maddie and john go to sleep and I change , after that lucas goes change as well I take my side of the bed and he takes his , then he turns around to face me then says " glory im sorry I was not suppose to be hearing im sorry" I nod then say " how much did you hear " he looks around the room then looks at me then says " pretty much all of it and I agree maddie should fall in love again met someone new " I nod then chuckle " im not talking bout mads " he looks at me then looks around the room " goodnight lucas" he nods then I turn off the lights ,

all of a sudden I hear a panicked breathing , I turn around and lucas was shaking , I quickly turn on the light and start trying wake him up as a whimper made a way out of his mouth , I couldn't help but feel terrified yet sad , when he finally woke up , I grabbed his shoulder and gave him a hug " dont worry im here " were the only words coming out of my mouth , he noticed I was scared so he took my hands then said " Im sorry I didn't mean to scare you lets go back to sleep " I shake my head then say " grab your coat " he replies " why " I shake my head then say " grab your coat we are going to talk , " then we both went to the car , it was 2:27 in the morning but we didn't care , We were driving around the city , then we stopped at a 24 hour dinner and we drove around some more then he pointed out some directions and as we were driving we realized we were getting followed , I drove as fast as I vould and we ended in a school parking lot , we quickly walked inside and broke down a door we were in the pool area , we ran upstairs , but the men behind us had already entered and were checking the area , as they were getting closer , we realized our only option was to throw ourselfs out the glass and into the pool , but we had no time to over think I link my arms with lucas as he grabs a fire extinguishers and smashes it against the glass as it breaks a little bit , we pushed our backs against it and it broke completely throwing us into the 12 feet deep pool , with a bit of blood from the glass and the chilly water , as we took our breaths seconds before we fell into the cold water pretending to be dead , hoping our guns wouls still be close just in case , we were floating on the water , not giving any signs of being alive as we could hear very faintly, footsteps walking out as soon as we could not hear them anymore we waite for a couple of seconds , desperately needing air we both pull up and catch some , we were both shaking due to the temperature of the water and because of what just happened, as lucas started swimming to the stairs , I realized I didn't know how to swim , yeah I know pretty stupid , before I knew it I slowly started gasping for air , then I could feel my body slowly sinking into the water , almost leaving my lungs full of the liquid , until I could faintly feel , some hands wrapped around my waist pulling me up , I had been a few minutes out of it , until I regained consciousness and found myself at the edge of the pool with lucas next to me , he smiled when he saw me wake up and im pretty sure there was worry in his eyes but it could have possibly been the events that had previously happened, he quickly hugged me and whispered into my ear " I thought I had lost you" I chuckle then say " sadly that's not gonna happen anytime soon " he smiled again and took the coat he left on the floor that was dry and placed it on me and helped me stand up then he walked me over to the car , he sat me on the passenger seat then he drived , it was currently 5:15 we went to a hill where we could watch the sunrise it was still chilly , we sat on the hill

looking at the beautiful view , then I say " woah this is breathtaking " I look at lucas who is already looking at me then he says " you're breathtaking " I smile then blush so I quickly turn around and he grabs my face in his hands then says " you look beautiful when you are blushing " I smile then he takes his hands away , I just keep a smile in my face like a total idiot and that damned feeling, the butterflies were flying all over my stomach , I must have zoned out because he said " glory lets go , you need to sleep " I nod then get in the car , my clothes was all drenched in water , I was cold and even the jacket lucas gave me was not helping I could tell he noticed since when we arrive I went straight to the bathroom did my personal stuff then went to sleep and cuddled myself in the blankets , I was shaking a bit , so he gave me his jacket in an attempt to make the shivers go away I quickly say " im s- sorry im just really cold " he chuckled then I turned off the lughts and said " good night " he responded " good night glory"
