soo what is it that you do again?

glorys pov:
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock , which I threw against the wall then I stood from bed in the humid dark aparment

and went over to wake up maddie, my best friend,for as long as I can remember and michael, her boyfriend, I have never really liked him , and I cannot put my finger on it but he looks suspicious,  we went down to the kitchen and ate some breakfast , then we waited at 7:00am sharp for the secret knock on our door I walked over and opened it to reveal Mr. smith

, we didn't know his name and we didn't bother asking , he walked inside with a bag and opened it to reveal many guns diferent sizes each I took a random one out of the bag , it didn't really matter cause they all did the same job ... kill ,

I have been 6 years working for smith but the job got cooler when I met maddie and michael they are so cute together anyway , smith snapped me out of my thoughts by telling me I needed a partner , someone to take care of me I quickly declined because I dont need any help but he insisted ,

the plan was simple go to his house  with maddie and michael and pretend we are the kids of his employees, thats a piece of cake , we quickly changed into our formal clothes and when we get to the lobby there are 3 men that are gonna pose as our fathers , we quickly get in the car and drive to the smiths house , we have been here a few times before but we have never met any of his family ,

so when we got there everyone went their seperate ways leaving me behind with smith he took me to a basement that was filled with guns we didn't bother closing the door cause nobody comes down here but we were wrong .
smith said " I really hope you like your partner"
I replied " I dont need a partner , I cannot rely on someone I don't know smith you know this , so why are you making me have a partner all this years I have been alone and I have been fine "
He insisted again " I think you do need someone to rely on , maybe even trust on glory , im getting kind of old for this , I really care about all of you and maddie has michael but who do you have "
to which I replied " I have maddie and michael " he shaked his head then said , glory I care about all of you , you are going to go on missions on your own and I would much rather like it of you went with someone who we can trust who I know will do anything and everything to keep you from harm "
I shaked my head and said " god smith sometimes a bullet through your head might look good " I laughed a little and he just had a stupid smile on his face then all of a sudden we hear footsteps and a kid about my age comes down

" what the hell , who are you " he said I quickly say" Im the daughter of one of your fathers  employee " he noded and said " well why were you gonna kill my dad" I just smiled and said "Wasn't gonna by the way is this your son ?" I ask Mr. smith he just noded and smiled . his son extended his hand out for me to shake it to which I quickly looked at mr.smith and he noded so I just shook his hand he had a stupid smile plastered in his face

it was ridiculous , then I quickly back away and sit next to Mr.smith he smiles then says "so lucas do you know what I do , what I work in " lucas nods then says " you are an accountant for this company I keep forgetting the name of " mr.smith chuckled the replied " what if I told you I was not an accountant but something bigger , I think glory can show you " they both look at me and I say " do you think richy boy is up for the part " his fathers looks at him then replied " we'll see" I quickly nod then say " well then follow me "

The three of us walk the dark streets of new york since this is the city that never sleeps our job is easier, we keep walking until we reach a burned down building in an alley , I smile and knock on the door , the secret knock we had to do all the time I just consisted of six knocks in a row I mean anyone could find that out , then the intercome rang and maddie said " who is it" I replied " glory "

, we entered the apartment that had 2 rooms and a kitchen / living room and 2 bathrooms , I was not complaining MR. smith kept food on the table so , when we enter maddie comes running over to me , and gave me a tight hug so did michael , they left the party early cause they had to come over and watch the house also it would be less suspicious.

lucas furrowed his brows to which I replied this maddie and michael they are a couple , he nods then we walk and sit on the living room mr.smith says glory" i want you to take him to the rooftop and show him how to hold and pull the trigger " I noded then he continued " lucas I want you to work here with them " Lucas looked unreadable and said " you expect me to trust you while you lied to me " smith looked at him then said " lucas rooftop " he noded and they made their way upstairs "

ON THE ROOFTOP:
smith : lucas come on we talked about this you are supposed to help me "
Lucas : I know but what am I supposed to do you didn't even teach me how to shoot or hold a gun and besides what is my work anyway " smith:you have to protect glory okay , I don't care if you don't like her or whatever, but Lucas hear me , you gotta protect her with everything you got even if it means risking your life"

They both turned around when the door opened revealing glory still in her dress then she walked over with a gun , lucas took one and looked at Smith then said " what do I have to do" mr smith said " whatever they tell you to do for now " lucas noded and smith walked out , then I laughed and said what is it daddy's boy cant handle a gun , he looked at me and furrowed his eyebrows then said " whats your problem "

I laughed the replied
* I think privileged boys , shouldn't handle this type of business
~ I think that you are useless, piece of garbage

Those words entered my head and I could not get them out that was the last thing my father said to me before he shot himself and my family you are " useless" I just stared at the floor for a minute then pointed the gun to his head he quickly threw himself to the floor to which I said " you dont move , cause thats when they realize you are weak "

with that I just walked away , and went back to the apartment mr. smith looked at me and said " wheres lucas to which I replied " hes busy " mr smith looked at me and  said " doing what " to which I replied " being an asshole , you should teach your kid some manners "

then lucas entered the apartment, I just walked over to my room and locked the door , maddie nor michael knew my back story or all of it I just told them parts becuase honestly I didn't wanna talk about it , then an hour later I get interrupted with my thought by Mr. smith entering " glory you do know that he is gonna have to stay with you guys cause he already knows "

I nod then he says okay well then im just gonna say goodnight and leave also he will be staying here with you " i nod and he closes the door a few minutes later Lucas opens the door I roll my eyes and just go to the bathroom and change I come back with my pjs and then take my side of the bed

" your dad said you had to sleep here lucas so there is the bathroom if you wanna change or whatever and you can take the other side  of the bed he nods then goes to the bathroom to change then he comes back and lays on his side of the bed and says " I dont want you to hate me " I chuckle and say " too bad I alredy do " then I turn off the lights .

hope you guys are enjoying this story so far , also I did review some grammar mistakes and wrote the rooftop scene wich I thought would be more interesting and show that smith does care about them anyway
