Jason POV

I didn't want to close my eyes. Honestly, I didn't. I held on for as long as I could, but when she started dragging the knife ever so slowly across Wraith's throat, I backed out. Much as I believed that he deserved to die, I would have preferred not seeing the actual death take place before my very eyes.

He targeted this team, Matthew the most, for years now. We knew the story. Started off as a parody account shared by two people, where their posts were somewhat ridiculous but somehow still mildly entertaining, and then one day it started turning into an all out hate account. Later on, Chris started calling the guy out using a secondary account completely unrelated to any of us, and that was when the guy started sending over DMs and hate mail to our accounts, sending gruesome pictures describing in vivid detail how he wants to make us suffer. Even when we blocked and reported him, he kept coming back, with new accounts solely dedicated to telling us how he wanted us to die.

One day we received an email from someone claiming to be an admin of the original account, detailing how he hadn't been able to log in for months and only saw the damage that had been done to every single member of the team, apologizing for her partner's actions. The guy sending over the hate mail now had changed the password so that this person couldn't get into the account and make any take backs on the things he's said. She told us that she contacted him recently asking what was going on and why he was sending this level of hate, and all he said was that we deserved to die. That Matthew deserved to die, for being a money-hungry sell out who didn't care one bit for his fans. Which was absolutely untrue.

We heard a thump, then shuffling, then ropes rubbing against each other, and then dragging. Something soft and heavy, like a dead body. And then we heard Matt's voice.

"Who are you?" He sounded hoarse, like his throat was dry and damaged.

"Nobody important," we heard Vanessa say.

We all knew differently.
