"So baby, call me crazy, but I think you feel it too. Maybe I, maybe I, just gotta get next to you."- Next to You, Jordin Sparks.
--------------------------------
Jeremiah was annoying the heck out of me. I can't believe he's sitting behind me, which is insane. I didn't talk to him for the rest of the period. He kept poking me with his pen while he laughs softly underneath his breath. He knows I'm annoyed.
I went to my second class hoping Jeremiah wouldn't be there. Luckily, the bell rang and I hadn't seen him anywhere in the class room. Darielle, one of my friends, was sitting next to me.
"Why do you look so relieved?" Darielle asked curiously.
"Nothing," I lied. "I just feel like this period is better than the first one."
After a few other classes, it was lunch. I met Dian, Ethan, and one of our close friends, Andrew. We all sat in our usual table, ate our food while they started talking about their classes. Dian and Andrew had the same first period and all three of them had the same second period. I saw Jeremiah with Brent, Tristan, Connor, and other jocks. I was looking at them for a moment then Dian called me. I looked at her and she raised her eyebrow at me. I lifted both my eyebrows at her and then we both smiled.
"So what clubs are you guys planning on joining these year?" Andrew asked with his mouth full.
"Well... I don't think I have time for those," Ethan said. Ethan doesn't really join clubs since he is already in the football team and he needs time to do both study and football.
"I might do photography this year," I said. "I mean not the club but just help out the Journalism club by taking photographs."
"I m going to do Journalism this year," Andrew said. "I mean what's the point of changing. I've been in that club since sophomore year."
"Maybe I'll join journalism this year too," Dian added.
"All set then, I think were all going to be in journalism!" Andrew said with a grin.
For the rest of the day, I had pretty decent classes. Afterschool, I went with Dian and Ethan who signed up for Journalism club.
No one was home when I got there so I just went straight to my room and plopped in my bed. There are still a few things I needed to buy for school but I'm going to rest first.
It was already 4:30 pm when the loud music coming from Joshua's room woke me up. UGH! I got dressed and got my purse. My mom was sitting on the couch watching some TV show.
"I'm going to the mall to buy some stuff for school," I said.
"Alright, just be home early and call me if anything happens."
"Okay..." I said as I walked out the door.
Not having a car really sucks. I walked down the street to the nearest bus stop that will take me to the plaza. I sat in the bench and got my ipod out and listened to music while waiting. There were only a few people in the streets now. I watch them walk as the songs filled my ears. From a distance, I saw the bus. I stood up and waited for it to stop in front of me. I went inside and sat on the chair next to the window. The bus wasn't that packed. I watched the street as the bus accelerated its speed. Just then something funny happened.
The bus went to sudden stop as Next to you by Jordin Sparks started playing. I was looking at photographs in my phone and then felt someone sit beside me. I looked up and saw Jeremiah. The chorus went on as he smiled. The music in my ears seems to be teasing me so I took my earphones out.
"Hi?" I said
"Hello, Kayla Smyth."
"Hi..." I said. "Umm... what's up?"
"Nothing, really.... What are you listening to?" He asked.
"Jordin Sparks." I said knowing he wouldn't even know her.
"Cool. So... where are you going?"
"The mall. I need to buy some things for school."
"Okay."
"You?"
"Well... We just happened to be going to the same place." He said as he took out his phone.
"Okay..." I said. He was busy using his phone so I decided to put on one of my earphones back on. I browsed some of my photos more. I can feel Jeremiah's arm on my arm which sent static all over my body. Jeremiah seems to be someone different today. He doesn't look as annoying as usual. I like this version of Jeremiah better. We had small talks and after a couple of minutes we reached our destination. We went to the mall. Together.

Author's note:
This chapter sucks...
My brain was lacking creativity today... :(
I had to listen to a lot of old songs to find the best one for the "look up" moment. I just love picturing that scene in slow motion.
Vote. Comment.

P.s: I might have some mistakes in highschool life during previous and future chapters but im trying my best.
