This is my first time writing something like this, so please bare with me.
2020 edit: I cringed so hard reading this. I just HAD to rewrite a few parts. Sorry the tenses are all screwed up. I couldn't be bothered to care about those.

Katelyn POV

"OK GRANDMA I HAVE EVERYTHING!" I yelled as I slammed the door shut. My 9 year old self  was bundled up for the snow so well that you couldn't even see my skin. I was going to a mountain to climb up to a cliff where I like going to watch the sunset.
I hiked up the mountain and got to the cliff. I went to the very edge and sat in the position you'd be in when you sit yourself in a chair, my legs dangled free in the cold winter the air.
I stared at the sun as it was setting and acknowledged the stunning vary of beautifully arrayed wondrous warm-toned colors slothered together. A slight breeze came by me oh-so suddenly and blew bright blue beanie right off from my head. I reached out to grab it instinctively, apparently I'd completely forgotten that I was on a cliff, not even just the cliff, but the very edge of it. Before that rational part of me could convince myself that everything would be fine, I was grabbing onto the edge screaming and crying, I'd been clinging onto my dear young life. I thought it would all end there, G-d couldn't even offer so much as a goodbye to my loved ones. I'm going to die. Right here, right now. I'm not ready, I-
Out of nowhere my scarf blows off of me and I flip out, I was so out of it in that moment. I felt so heavy, something in me knew to take off my jacket. I now felt lighter but freezing. My bulky snow boots fell off and I couldn't even see where it landed, I was just that high up. Suddenly, I just felt the urge to quit. It's over. I might as well welcome death. At least I try to tell myself this. It didn't work. I still held so tightly to the last bit of life that I could, even though I swarmed myself with thoughts that numbed the coming feeling of death. I honestly just lost the urge for a second and let go, immediately regretting my decision. But I still remember it, that fuzzy feeling of life's glove pulling tightly on my wrist. Although everything was cold and numb. I recognize that slight feeling of warmth that I'll recall until the day I die.

Travis POV
I was going to my favorite spot to watch the stunning sunset that we have around here. It was this real pretty area. Yknow, sure, there were a few dead plants. But the view sure was worth it. Imagine Cotten candy. Now imagine it lined with gold. Then imagine a bright orange background. Blend it all together and it's the definition of the sunset that we got 'round here. So when I start to hear screaming, and it's not of pure delight then I can tell that somethin' is up. A thought scares me. D E A T H is what my brain spells out. Panic floods through me. What if, maybe, death has something to do with this... I don't let that thought bother me for any more than a second because I just have to rush over. No more death, please.
I get closer and recognize the scream's as belonging to a girl. I round the corner as I listen to the deep music my breath creates. I stand on the edge, out of breath, just as the screaming fades. Was I too late? Has yet another died because of my foolishness? Who is next? Will I accidentally murder my cousin or something?
I get closer to the end to see how high up the poor girl fell from, only to realize she was still there. Then why did she stop screaming? Has she lost hope? I look downwards towards death's cold skin. Without thinking, I reach for it, just as it slips off of its last hope.
A head bobs up and stares at me, death's aloof and shaken eyes had gained it's sparkle back. I soon realize that I'm holding a really pretty girl's wrist. I almost lose my grip and she winces. With that, I bring her on up, I must admit, it took so much from in me to be able to get her up, she sure was heavy. Once she got up and took her few shallow breaths, she looks up at me. We just stare into each other's eyes for a while, almost as if we COULDNT look away. I then break our trance by blinking, she smirks.
"Haha, I w-w-won that staring c-contest!" The blue haired girl says proudly through shivers as if nothing just happened. I almost let myself chuckle at her.. You know, she is really fun when she isn't on the brink of death.
"No fair, I didn't know." I crossed my arms as she sticks her tongue out, immediately putting it back in due to how cold the air was.
"Th-then why were you staring into m-my eyes?" She shivers as she glances at me with a look that clearly means 'DUH'.
"Because they are pretty." I responded without thinking. I saw her go red.
"Why is your face red?" I asked with a grin.
"Be..because I... am like mad. Yes I am very angry." She said with giving me a look.
"You stuttered?" I asked trying not to laugh as she grew redder.
"Th..that's because I am I'm I am cold." She stuttered throughout the cold once again. I worry slightly but then quickly go back to messing with my new friend.
"Heh I was only joking with you.. silly." I said poking her belly. She laughed. I really liked her laugh. It was beautiful, as everything about her was, it sounded like an angel. I really couldn't help it, I wanted to hear the beauty's laugh a second time, so I poked her once again.
"St..stop hha..heha...hahe... HAHAHA ST.. STOP P...PL...EASE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" She couldn't stop laughing, she then punches my shoulder.
"Owie!" I grunt as I fall to the ground, my behind hitting the stiff ground with what I perceive to be a crack sound coming from my bones.
"S-SORRY I REALLY AM I AM SO SORRY UGH stupid..stupid...stupid." She yells frustrated. "He s-saves my life and I-I punch him in the shoulder." She hisses to herself throughout shivers.
"N..no it's my fault.. I..I shouldn't have poked y-" I started speaking but she stops me mid-sentence.
"Ar-are y-y-you okay?" She says in a caring yet productive tone as she suffers from more shivers.
"Yes but are you, you look freezing." I asked as I looked at her shivering.
"I-I am g... GREAT! Just-t g-gr-great." She shivered.
"N...no here take my jacket," I ordered taking off my jacket.
"I couldn't.. then you would be cold." She said pushing it into my arms but I just nodded 'no' and put it on her.
"Thank you so..so much." She mumbles while walking off.
"Wh..where are you going." I asked.
"My grandma texted me to come to her house since my parents are there to pick me up so I could go back home." She informs me.
"You don't live here?" I ask while grimacing at the thought of not seeing her again.
"No I was visiting my grandma for a week. I live in a different state and city." She explains as I pout.
"Oh, well safe travels then! Bye!" I yell waving as her bare feet step in the freezing snow, she starts to hop and fast walk to move things along. I frown and call out,
"Wait, before you go!" I project my voice meanwhile taking off my boots.
"Hm?" She turned around.
"Take these." I say, now in only my socks as I hand her my boots.
"Th..thanks." She nods and slips them on
I was staring in her direction smiling and shivering. Eventually, as the girl leaves sight, I start walking down. A really troubling thought flashes through my mind and I swear that I would've facepalmed myself if I could've felt my hands.
"I don't even know her name... and I don't have her phone number either... do I?" I whisper under my breath.
I start sprinting as swiftly as possible as I go down the mountain, I finally reach the bottom and see a blue haired girl getting into a car, I ever-so-badly wanted to scream her name. But I didn't know it. And while lost in the thought of what to scream. The car drove off. I don't even know her name. The girl of dreams had waltzed into my reality. I didn't even know her name.

Katelyn POV
I drove off with grandma and decided to not tell her, nor anybody else about what happened. They would say I was a liar liar pants on fire if they didn't believe it, scaredy cat if they believed it, an ant that can't even get back up the cliff herself, or drama queen if they thought it was not as big a deal as I am saying. What other nasty things would they say? I'm too scared to find out. To distract myself from thinking of this for the rest of the car ride, I decide to get a new game. I never expected it to shatter my mind into shambles even further more. The screen says Enter Your UserName just as I enter the game. This reminds me... name? Did I get that? His name. What was his phone number... he saved my FRICKING LIFE AND I WILL NEVER SEE HIM AGAIN! I will look for you I promise to you that... I will look for you. I need to thank you.

Travis POV
I will look for you I promise. I need to thank you.
