Chapter 5- Travis vs. Katelyn

So basically we are at the beach.
With the guys.
Including Travis.
And apparently Aph invited Zane and Aaron too.
Yippee.
Don't you feel that sarcasm.
So yeah we are setting up the umbrellas at the moment mine is a blue and teal swirl. And is right next to Aph's and  K~C's. Aph's is a purple white and black cat. K~C's is a pink and white cat. Oh my god every other girl at the beach is staring at Aaron. Who was the first to take off his shirt. Oh wait yea for once in his whole life he has a shirt on. Well had. Oh did I mention Aph is staring too. he is right next to Aph. And Zane is next to him. His is just red and black swirl but Zane has a pink cupcake and a pink pony on it. So yes this is my friend group. Along with Travis Dante Laurence and Garroth who had also come. Some people couldn't come such as Lucinda, Nicole just great, Reese who K~C begged us to invite, Michi who again K~C forced us to invite, and a few others. Next to K~C is Garroth who is next to Laurance who is next to Dante who is next to Travis. Oh look the rest of the boys took their shirts off. Now I think every single girl at the beach has their victim picked out. And not to mention K~C and Aph has bikinis on and practically every guy is staring at them. I have not even changed out of my normal clothes yet. My swimsuit is under them and I don't plan on taking them off anytime soon. The only person who no girl is staring at is Zane. Who hasn't even taken off his shirt yet. But everybody at the beach is eyeing somebody in this group. Besides, of course, Zane and I. Ugh why do I belong to a group of hot people. This is what I get for making friends with hot people. I wish Nicole were here. I think I am the only person noticing this. Either that or I'm obsessing too much. But seriously Aaron and Aph are getting the most attention out of all of us. I can't argue that they are by far the hottest of all of us.
"I wanna go make a sand castle!" Aph said starry eyed and running to the sand with Aaron behind her.
"Kawaii Chan wants to go collect seashells! Come with Kawaii~Chan Katelyn~Sama!" You can guess who said. Now I have to walk around in a bikini ugh.
"I got a metal detector want to go find treasure." Laurence said. I would rather find actual treasure than go collect seashells. Or shall I say seaHELLS.
"I'll go!" Garroth ran over with Laurence.
"What about you baby brother?" Garroth asked.
"I'm staying here" Zane said crossing his arms. So lucky I wish I could stay.
"Dante let's go see how far down we can go into the sand." Travis suggested.
"What does that mean?" Dante asked as he squinted his eyes.
"Let's dig a hole in the sand so deep that maybe we could fit in it!" Travis explained. I'd rather be doing that than collecting seashells.
Well now I'm changed. Great even more attention from the guys. Whatever I'll ignore it like everybody else is doing somehow. I just stood arms crossed while watching K~C find seashells and show them to me.
Then I heard a beep. Wow those idiots actually found something. I turned and watched them begin digging than I saw Dante and Travis stop digging their things and help dig with Garroth and Laurence. K~C noticed and walked over letting me free but then she grabbed my arm and dragged me over too. UGH. Zane was on his phone watching Irene knows what with a dopey smile on his face.
Aph and Aaron joined too. And they pulled out....

But there was something else in the hole they dug also. It was a...
Boot? A blue boot. A blue snow boot? I recognize it from somewhere. Suddenly I yelled dibs but heard an eco.

Travis POV
"Dibs!" Katelyn and I yelled at the same time. I had remembered almost instantly where that boot was from. Something years ago that happened. It fell off her foot on the mountain. If I ever find her I want to give it to her. I guess I should get over her. It was 15 years ago after all. But still I can't get over her. And I know Katelyn likes the color blue and all but the boot doesn't even fit her.
Clueless much?
"It used to belong to my sister that's why!" I explained.
"You are an only child, Travis." Dante punches my arm.
"Oh did I say sister, I meant cousin." I laughed nervously.
"But your dad is also an only child and so was your mom." Dante looked confused now.
"Oh I meant my grandmothers sisters... best friends daughters... friends.... cousins..little sister?" I said getting lost in my own words.
"Oooh" Everybody except Katelyn, who was crossing her arms, instead she said.
"Liar..."
"Am not!" I defended myself.
"Are too!"

"Are too!" I accidentally slipped covering my mouth immediately after realizing what I said.
"HA TOLD YOU HE WAS A LIAR!" She pointed.
"Well how do you know for a fact?" Aphmau asked.
"It's my youngest little brother's" She quickly thought up.
"But it's very feminine?" I looked kinda angry.
"We're arguing over a fudging boot! Just give it to me already!" She started getting impatient and snatched it and put in in her beach bag thingy
I was a bit disappointed but I was scared to mess with her so I just let it go. But I tried my last resort.

Guilting her.

Katelyn POV
Travis looked sad and I felt kinda bad. What if he was telling the truth and this was some strangers boot that I'm obsessing over? Ugh he is probably just guilt tripping me. But still it might possibly be his grandmas... sisters.... daughters cousin? Whatever! But he was the one who found it. I took it out of my purse and threw it at his chest.
He looked at me and smiled. I side smiled back holding in the tears. I really wanted that boot.
