The title of the book is by Sam Smith, I love that song!

The guard had already started his way home when Ana heard something fall in the water. She smiled, grabbing her necklace. “I'll never forget you, Gabriel Johnson.” She softly said before swimming away.

It had been a few days until they let the girl roam free without a guard watching her. And she was looked for Gabriel's ship but she couldn't find it anymore. Although she found plenty on others.

Gabriel was bored and was tossing stones into the water, hoping they would jump. But he was really bad at it. Instead, they all sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Maybe she would see them, but he probably was too far away from her castle.

One of his stupid stones hit Ana's tail. She flinched at looked up. She could vaguely see a ship. The closer she swam, the more familiar it looked and the more hopeful she became. When she came to the surface, she was sure it was him. “Gabriel!” She shouted out.

He looked at her. No. This must be a dream. "...Ana? Ana!" He smiled. "How have you found me?" He quickly got over to the net he still had got out, hoping she would come. And she did. Unbelievable.

She ignored his question, quickly climbing on the ship. As she was on the deck, she nearly tackled Gabriel in a hug with tears in her eyes. She was so sure that she would never find him again. But she had. She was actually touching him now.

He held her close to him. "Hey, don't cry..." Finally he could hold her again and be with her...but for how long? Maybe he should just stay here and just eat fish forever so she could go away when it gets too dangerous and then later she could come back.

She was clearly trembling, holding back the waterfall of tears. “Oh, I thought I had lost you forever. ” There even was a point where she thought that the guards had killed him anyways. It was like losing her fiance all over again. But worse.

"I am here, don't worry." He said, smiling softly, gently placing a kiss on her forehead. "I thought they would just lock you up in your castle and that you would find someone else, and just forget me..."

“They did but it caused chaos as it showed that they didn't trust me. So they let me go. ” Ana cupped his cheeks, making sure this was just her imagination again. “I could have never forgotten you. You became a lot to me in a short time. ”

"That's good." He said, smiling. "And so did you, m'lady. I mean, I couldn't think of anything else but you, you, and you."

“I love you.” She mumbled, placing a kiss on his lips. They had only been parted for a few days but it had seemed like a century. And that's when the tears broke out. She knew she couldn't stay. But she didn't want to let go of him ever again. “I'm sorry for saying those things when I left.”

"I love you too..." He kissed her back. He felt like the sun was back after days of only a pitch black night. "It's okay. Really. I understand. He couldn't know we are in love. Really, don't worry." He hugged her again. "Don't cry, Ana..."

“But I said such cruel things.” Ana muttered as she hid her face in the crook of his neck. “I called you pitiful and said I didn't care about you.”

"But you also said that you're truly sorry. So I've forgiven you." Gabriel gently brushed her pink curls.

She calmed down by his words. “I felt so horrible saying those things. And I was so terrified that they'd kill you after all. I can't loose you like I lost my fiance. ”

"It's okay, Ana. And I am not killed, I am right here, all for you." He said as he moved his hand to her cheek, caressing it with his thumb.

She closed her eyes, leaning into his hand. “But this won't last forever. I can't stay. ” She mumbled.

"Well, you can just go when it gets suspicious and I will stay here so you can find me again..." Gabriel softly said to her. He wanted to do everything for her. Even turn into a merman.

“You can't stay here forever. It's not good to live on only fish. You need to seek land. ” The female sighed.

"Or I would go to  the closest island and stay there and you can visit me there..." there must be a solution, right? Some way to keep seeing her. To live a sort of happy life with her. There must be a way for Gabriel and Ana to stay together, at least, there should be..."

“Yes, but the closest island holds no humans. Would you be able to survive there? Would you be able to build yourself a home?”

"Yeah. And I can always stay in the boat. That I put the boat on the land." Yes, Gabriel, good thinking.

She looked at him with her ocean blue eyes. “Okay, but you have to stay safe. You cannot get hurt.”

"I won't, I promise. And you should stay safe as well. You can't get hurt either." He said, again almost drowning in her eyes.

"Good." He said, smiling brightly. He had been thinking last days about magic. What if he would be able to turn himself into a merman...temporarily or forever. That probably would be easier for her, and even if the spell would be lasting forever, he would just give the ship to one of his crewmates. He didn't really care about it, except for the ring and the locket.

“You know, when you're locked in the castle there's a lot of time to learn about magic. I even learned a new trick, wanna see?”

What will this trick be? Stay tuned!
