If you know me, you know how slow I can be with writing. I was kind of in a writing block but thanks to pinterest I have a great idea. It won't come yet though...

Gabriel POV

after he woke up, she hadn't come back. He waited the whole day, and night, and more. One day became one week, even though he did sleep, but shortly. He had nightmares about how she's caught and hurt by others. He needed to check on her but couldn't. One week became one month and he had to go again or he'd fall in the arms of a huge storm and die. So he went,as slowly as possible, more to the north. He decided to rest a bit on an island they neared.

He kept practising magic as much as he could. She had learned him it and it might be his only memory. He didn't want to know why she kept so long. He just wanted to go down there and find her. But he was not able to do that, not for long, as he didn't have any sort of gills or special lungs. He would only die. However...

Ana POV
How hard she tried, Ana couldn't get back to Gabriel, to her love. Would she lose him again? She was forced to go to some school thing to learn how to behave. It would take one human month, but after that she still couldn't go. Ana knew how heartbroken Gabriel would be. Would he forgive her? Would he try to practise his magic? Would he catch another mermaid? Would he let them go? All kinds of thought passed her these days.

Talking about magic, she tried to become stronger in it as well, and she now was. Not only was she in her mermaid form and didn't need to spill any energy into using a human form spell, she as well waited here to get even stronger and if she could get to Gabriel again she would be able to stay human for a longer time and maybe even be able to use the permanent spell and not only the temporary one. She just wanted to leave this place to be happy, she wouldn't care how many guards would follow her. She knew she would keep her magic and therefore be able to beat them and then live happily ever after.

The biggest problem was that they refused her to learn more spells. The teachers said she knew enough to stop with the lessons. The only thing she could do herself was get to the library to find more spellbooks. If she only knew how to make spells herself...But no, they thought it was too dangerous as she was too young. She tried everything but just failed. She hated them now.

But at the moment she decided she wouldn't probably get any stronger and she would go back to him, it was Midsummer, a party that lasted three days. And she had to attend that, as the princess. It was all fun, but she wanted to swim up. She had been at so much editions but every year was just the same. Still, she had to force a smile and say the same stupid text again. The odds weren't really in her favor now.

It was exactly like every other year. First, they would sing the ancient songs about their safe place to hide, about how they were lucky to have magic, how they were able to beat the humans. She only mouthed that part, knowing that not all humans were horrible like explained in the song. She had seen the exact difference in the most beautiful man of the world. The text was the same, although she managed to get the part about humans out of it as 'kids didn't need to be made afraid by something they don't have to be afraid of'. A lie, but they believed it and let her change it. At third, they'd have the royal dinner, with the same 'special' dishes. She hated them. Human food was different, but in a good way. Human food had a crunch what wasn't able to be made under the sea.

And as the days finally got over, she could go up to the surface again, to see it was completely empty. Gabriel had left. When she saw the storm that just passed, she understood, but was still completely heartbroken. He left her. The man she loved left her. And all because of that stupid storm. She swam in the course he would've went but didn't find him. She had to go back and hated that fact.

At first, she just wanted to wait. Maybe he'd come back. But that was the worst plan ever. She saw them, luckily, but otherwise she'd be caught again, and this time not by the captain she first hated, but now loved with all of her heart, even though he left her. She got back to the palace. Only to cry her heart out. She had forbidden everyone to come into her room and luckily they respected her and she was alone. They maybe thought she was grieving about her fiancé again, but it felt the same althought it wasn't. Gabriel wasn't dead. He couldn't be dead. He was just..gone. She had given him the lucky spell. It should still work. What would he be doing? Would he already have forgotten magic? Would he have forgotten her? Would he find someone new? Someone he could be with? Someone more beautiful than her? Someone he didn't need to hide or lie about how he found her. Someone with a normal human like name.

She knew she was pretty, but her name would maybe be his most difficult problem. Analuca, her full name, was known as a typical mermaid name. That's why she was always told that if someone found her as a human, she had to give a gake name. And she always did. Except with Gabriel.
