The sun peered through my curtains and a breeze blew through my window. A chill took over my body and made me open my eyes. I sat up, pulling the blankets around me. "You look really cute, love." "Ahh!" I shrieked. Kayden had obviously come in through my window. "Why are you in here?" I asked. "Came to get you for school." He plainly said. "Oh." I said getting out of bed. I grabbed a pair of black leggings and a cardigan, going to the bathroom to change. After I came out of the bathroom, I saw Kayden just chilling on my bed. "Whatcha doing?" I said tossing clothes in my hamper. "Waiting for you. You take forever." He said scrolling through his phone, getting up off the bed. "No I don't! That was like 2 minutes." I stated walking to the bed, making it. "Okay, sure. Let's get going." He said. "Who pissed in your cornflakes?" I said laughing, grabbing my bag from the ground. He glared at me for a minute. "I couldn't sleep." "Why?" I asked. "I was thinking. Let's go." He replied leaving the room. I grabbed an apple from the kitchen and jogged to his bike. He handed me the helmet. "Look what I bought," he said putting on a shiny black helmet. "Pretty great, right?" He said happily. "Safety first" I said laughing lightly. "Hold on." I wrapped my arms around his waist, admiring his broad back and toned muscles. We drove down the paved street, orange and yellow leaves fell off the large oak trees that lined the street that lead to our neighbourhood, covering the ground in their beauty. "I love fall." I said as we left the trees behind us. I knew he was smirking when he replied, "I know, princess." I groaned a bit, "Why do you keep calling me that?" I asked. "Why not?" He said accelerating the bikes engine, causing us to speed up. The rest of the drive I talked to Kayden about the people heckling about him when he was gone, and that he'd probably be swarmed with people. "Most of the people at the damn school don't care if someone gets hurt, they just wanna look like they do so they look better for the rest of the fake people." I complained. "I know, its high school. Most people just look out for themselves." He said putting his foot down to stop us. I raised my eyebrows, surprised how accurate that statement was. I pulled the helmet off my head and placed it on the seat. "Thanks for the ride." I said, standing on my tiptoes to kiss his cheek. I walked away to go find my friends, smiling with a bit of smirk. Kayden waited for a minute shocked I would do that. Lindsay, my best friend said I should try and confuse Kayden since he always sends like 15 different signals. It worked. "Hey girls." I said still smiling. "Worked I see." Lindsay said, smiling as well, nodding her head in his direction. "This will be fun." I said. The bell rang for first period, all of us split to head to our different classes. I noticed after my little joke, Kaydens friends had came up to him right after, he tried to be cool but I think I phased him a bit. My first class was science. I went to my desk, the one in front of Kayds. "What the hell was that?" He said standing in front of my desk. I looked up from my phone, "What do you mean?" I asked innocently. "That kiss." He said stern. "Take your seats students!" Mr.David boomed. "Guess you'll have to wait for later." I said smirking. He groaned, and took his seat. As the lesson started Kayden tapped my shoulder, and handed me a note. I took it, raising my eyebrows in suspicion. I opened the note, 'Tell me what that was.' I smirked knowing I was in head with one simple action. ' I say we start a game, we are affectionate like I was this morning, but whoever catches feelings first.....loses.' I gave him the note back, I saw him smirk. He leaned over his desk to my ear. "Your on. But when you lose, don't be too upset." He said. I turned my head and looked at him, "good luck."
As the bell rang, I got my stuff.
This is gonna be really fun.
So the games begin..
Once again, short chapter, but I'm adding the next chapter today as well, plus this is earlier than I thought I would update. I just felt like it should end with a bit of suspense. I hope you enjoyed and as always, feel free to vote and comment!
