Hey guys! This is just a warning that these next few chapters will sway a little bit away from just Virgil and Logan, but it will all come back to them, I promise (also, this does include an idea I read from another Sanders Sides fan-fiction, so yes, I know that wasn't an original idea. Also, this does contain some depressing phrases, so please be advised)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Virgil's POV
I finally work up enough courage to come out of my room again, mostly because I smelled Patton's cookies and I wanted one, and head to the kitchen.
"Hey Patton, could I steal one of those--" I say as I walk through the doorway of the kitchen only to find--
Roman's POV
When I hear Virgil scream I know something's seriously wrong; Virgil is normally dead silent unless he's messing with Thomas's head. I bound down the hall towards the kitchen but stop dead in my tracks---
Logan's POV
Virgil's scream jolts me off of my bed, my book flying off the bed and skidding to a stop on the carpet. Virgil never screams, I run down the hall as fast as I have ever run before and nearly slam into Roman just inside the doorframe. "What's going--".
Virgil's POV
I find Patton just... just... floating. Staring at nothing. His eyes glossed over. I scream. I didn't know what else to do.
Roman runs in and stops dead in his tracks when he sees Patton.
Logan is the last to arrive and I don't even have time to let it feel awkward or get anxious.
"What's going--" Logan stops mid-sentence and his eyes grow bigger than I have ever seen them before.
"I... I just found... found him... like this, I didn't.... I didn't do anything." I say trembling.
Roman is the first to snap out of the trance we have all been sucked into by Patton's floating body. "Well? Are we going to help him or not?" he says reaching for Patton to help pull his limp, vulnerable body down.
Logan jumps into action next, helping Roman slowly lower Thomas's heart down.
"VIRGIL! Snap out of it and help Patton!" Roman snaps.
I process his words, but my body doesn't move. I know what's wrong. And I know that not even Logan won't know the answer to this one. I all of sudden snap back into my body, and run over to Logan and Roman.
"Get him to my room now," I say, my voice more serious than it has ever been before.
"Your room? Why would we do that? He doesn't need anxiety on top of whatever is already going on!" Roman snaps back.
"Just do it," I say and grab Logan's arm."Trust me," I say, looking directly into Logan's panicked and confused eyes.
"Carry him Roman, now." Logan says after a moment. Roman looks confused and frustrated, but he picks up Patton bridal style and takes him to my room.
We get to my room and Roman sets Patton down gently on my bed.
"You guys go," I say.
"No." I'm surprised when I hear Logan's voice so insistent.
"Fine, but stay back," I say, "And don't touch either of us."
I close my eyes and focus all my energy on breathing slowly and deeply. I put my hand to Patton's head and slowly take his depressing feelings from his body to my own. I breathe slowly and calmly until the depressing feelings hit me like a bomb.
All the voices that were previously in my head come rushing back. "Nobody loves you, they hate you, you're a disorder, a disease, just die already." Everything goes black.
Logan's POV
I refuse to leave. I will not just leave Virgil alone.
"Fine, but stay back, and don't touch either of us." Virgil says, so serious.
He closes his eyes and breathes slowly, then lays his hand on Patton's head, and his breathing rate increases tremendously by the second.
I desperately want to touch him, he looks in pain, in agony, but I force myself not to.
Patton's eyes fly open.
Virgil's body goes limp.
"VIRGIL!" I scream.
