Hey guys! Here's another Chapter! (Many points of view)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Logan's POV
I could hardly focus on my new book on lies and deceit, not with this many thoughts bouncing around my head. And I can always focus. This 'love' thing is really messing with my head.
I wish it could be more simple to understand, or something I could read about, not something I have to just learn as I go along!
I really do need to talk to Patton about this, he's Thomas' heart after all. He must know all about 'love'.
Patton's POV
I'm still angry, even after my third cookie, which is weird; I'm always calmed by sugar.
I'm about to bite into my fourth cookie when I hear "Morality? May I speak to you for a moment?" from the doorway of the kitchen.
I startle, again, and whip my head around that my glasses fly off again! Unlike last time, Logan is just as coordinated as me, and ends up knocking off his own glasses in the process of trying to catch mine.
"Are you kidding me? Twice in one day? I need to remind the others Sides that I do not startle well," I think to myself.
"Sorry kiddo! You scared me! Lemme get those for you," I say, picking up both Logan and I's glasses.
I rub Logan's lenses with my shirt, then put them in his hand. Unlike me, where my vision is still pretty good, Logan's is absolutely horrible, probably from all those late nights with his nose stuck in a book.
"Thank you," he replies, putting them back on perfectly straight, unlike the rest of Thomas..... I'm sorry, I had to throw that in there, it's a Dad joke for crying out loud!
I put on my own glasses, slightly down my nose; it really makes me feel like an actual dad. "And to answer your question, of course!" I say, putting on my most joyful tone. "Is this related to what Roman was going on about?" I thought, now curious about what Logan's gonna say next.
"It's about a particular emotion I believe you would be proficient in." Logan says, vague as always.
"And what would that be, kiddo?" I say jokingly.
"Love." He says it so quietly I almost don't catch it.
Now I'm really confused, Logan is Thomas's logical thinking, I didn't even think he had feelings!
"Well," I say, "I was not expecting that out of you Logan, but okay, anything specific you're confused about?"
"It's about other people, loving other people... or a person." Logan says, obviously not sure how to ask his question.
"Awww, Logan, are you saying you love us? Or Thomas?" I say. "Finally!" I think, " He's gonna admit that he loves Thomas! I knew it!".
"NO!" He says a little too forcefully, even making me step back. "I was... you know what, nevermind, I knew I shouldn't have tried asking you." He says the last part under his breath, but I still hear it, and it hurts. A lot.
I watch as Logan stomps back to his room. "They don't care, they don't love you anymore," a voice inside my head whispers, and I listen.
And this is Patton's first encounter with Deceit. Sorry for the cliffhanger, I had too, you won't have to wait long though.
