Genevieve headed out the back door and then she closed the door. She let Kai go and then turned to him.
"Talk.""I'm sorry that I betrayed your trust. I wanted to take them all down, but that was before I got to know the real you. The three days I knew you, I've been confused. Confused about what I'm doing. Confused about what I'm feeling. Confused about you."
"What are you talking about?"
Genevieve said, crossing her arms."I don't know."
Kai said and ran a hand through his hair.Genevieve shook her head and went to go back inside. But Kai sped in front of her. He blocked the door to keep her from leaving.
"I can't get you out of my head. When I try to sleep, you're there. When I'm just doing whatever, you're there. I can't stop thinking about you."
Kai said to her, his jaw clenching and unclenching.Genevieve stopped and then her eyebrows furrowed. She stayed silent as she listened to him.
"If I think about you, my heart picks up just a bit. I get this gut wrenching feeling and it's horrible and amazing at the same time. I don't know this feeling, I swear I'm going crazy."
Kai added, his eyes going soft yet he was trying to make a point.
"I can't stop myself. I can't stop wanting to be around you."Genevieve felt her face clear up from confusion. He was a sociopath, he admitted that a while back, but he was feeling emotions. Not just any emotion, he was feeling-
"Genevieve say something. Please."
His eyes pleaded with her."I don't know what to say."
Genevieve said and sat down on the ground, not caring about the dress. She rubbed her temples. She heard footsteps and then he sat in front of her. She felt hands carefully wrap around hers and move them from her head. Genevieve looked up at him, sighing.
"I'm sorry. The longer you're mad at me, the worse I feel. I don't like this feeling. A long time ago, I experienced this feeling, I had someone tell me it was called guilt. I hate it."
Kai spoke softly, looking in her eyes.Genevieve bit her lip gently, taking a deep breath.
"Its been practically hell not being able talk to you this week. I must've written a million messages but ended up deleting them."
Kai let out a dry laugh.Genevieve felt her eyes widen at his confession.
"So have I."
She replied, watching him."Thank god. I thought I was the only one."
Kai let out a breath of relief before showing her a small smile.Genevieve sighed softly before looking at him.
"You're caring.""What?"
Kai asked, confusion setting on his features."What you're talking about with me. Always thinking about me, the guilt. You're caring."
Genevieve explained before sighing softly.
"You say you're a sociopath, but I think you just had a few bad things happen to you that hardened your heart. You tried to turn yourself to stone so you didn't have to feel the pain again."Kai clenched his jaw as he listened to her, but Genevieve continued.
"But you couldn't. Now you're feeling again, just without consent."
Genevieve ended with a small smile.Kai watched her carefully before he reached forward and moved some hair out from her face.
"It's odd. This is the calmest I've been since that day."
Kai said, absentmindedly.
