Lost and Found

Red, Chuck and Bomb were hanging out by the sea shore. Red was sun bathing on his recliner while Chuck and Bomb played in the water.

"Hey Red! Come on in, the waters great"

Bomb said happily looking towards the red bird. Red let out a sigh, removing the shades from his eyes, sitting up on his elbow and looked towards his friends.

"Nuh-uh"

He said before replacing the shades back on and layed back down. Chuck rolled his eyes and quickly ran up towards Red.

"Come on Red, we're losing daylight"

He said nudging his friend.

"Guys, we can come back tomorrow"

"But we can't"

"Why not?"

"Because we are going to visit the museum of happiness, remember?"

"Oh yeah right about that I'm not going"

Red said as he remove his shades and sat up on his recliner. Chuck gasp.

"What?! Why not?"

"Because I don't want to"

"But..."

"Okay nevermind I'm heading into the water"

Red said quickly cutting off Chuck before he complains with anymore questions. After a while of playing and drowning in the water, Bomb was the first to leave back home and then Chuck. So they left Red alone for the day in which he didn't mind at all since it will give him a moment of peace and quiet. He stayed sitting down on the sand staring out to the ocean. Until he notice that there was something moving along in the water.

"What the heck is that?"

He said to himself as he got out a binocular and stared out to the water to see if he gets a closer look of the object. He then spotted what look to be like an egg. He gasp and quickly got up and swam back into the water as he battle the waves as he tried to reach the egg. After a while of kivking he finally grabbed hold of the egg and swam back to shore. He set the egg down on the blanket and dried it up.

'That's strange, what would an egg be doing by itself and in the ocean for crying out loud'

He thought as he looked over the egg to make sure there was no damages done. Red quickly gathered his belonging and the egg and quickly went home.

"Don't worry little one, I'll find your parents tomorrow until then have a good rest"

He said to the egg as he made a small nest for it and wrapped it up with a couple of blankets.

*Next Day*

"Okay so let me get this straight, you just found this egg floating in the ocean"

Chuck said making sure he heard Red right. Red let out an annoyed sigh.

"For the 10th time Chuck yes"

"Are you sure you didn't steal it?"

Bomb ask. Red shook his head.

"No, so are you guys going to help me or not because I need to find this egg's parents before it hatches before they decide to send me back to court"

Red said as he grabbed the pack of posters to put out in display.

"Alright, Alright we're coming"

Chuch said as he quickly grab the posters and ran around the whole island putting out the posters. Red and Bomb were asking couples if they have an egg missing and they all receive the same answer 'No'.

"So what do we do now?"

Bomb asked as he looked at the egg. Red shrug.

"I don't know I'll probably put it up for adoption"

But Chuck quickly ran up to Red.

"Hey how about this Red, you adopt the egg"

"What?"

"Come on think about it, you were in adoption remember and I'm preety sure you don't want this little egg to go through the same thing right? Come on give this egg a chance to have a family or at least a father and two uncles."

Red frown and thought for a moment, he rolled his eyes.

"Okay then fine and what if one day the real parent's show up?"

"Then you will have the adoption paper and plus you are a witness to an abandoned egg"

"So, they are going to think I lied"

"No because we eill be there too because we are also witnesses, so one have not claim the egg and besides there is not that much time the egg will be hatching pretty soon"

Red sigh and looked at the egg, he gently played his feathery wing on the egg and caress it gently.

"Okay fine, let's go get the adoption papers"

"And don't forget to make a report of how you found the egg and put us as witnesses"

Bomb said.

"Okay okay I get it, just do me a favor and watch the egg for me. I'll be back in a few minutes"

Red said as he went out the door but not without giving the egg one last glance and a smile before he get the adoption papers.
