1st Day of School

Enjoy!

"But I don't want to go to school"

Chirp complained

"We all have to go sometimes, Chirp. Besides its the first day of school and I'm pretty sure you don't want to miss it"

"I do want to miss it, can I go tomorrow, I want to spend time with you today"

"Chirp"

Chirp glared at the ground and crossed her wings over her chest.

"No fair, no fair, no fair"

She said lowly. Red smiled and scooped Chirp into his wings causing her to giggle.

"So now that I got a smile out of that face, you ready to go to school?"

Chirp let out a sigh and slouched in her father's wings.

"Fine"

Red smirks as he continue to carry her. They finally reached the school, Red put Chirp down.

"Okay, now I want you to be nice with the other childrens, no getting into fight and just make some friends"

"Yeah easier said than done"

"Hey I had my troubles in school too missy, but the only thing you can do is just get past it and then everything will be okay"

Chirp let out a sigh and looked at her father with a small smile.

"Okay Daddy"

"Good now have a good day at school"

"Bye"

Chirp said as she enter into her new class, as soon as she enter the door all eyes were on her, causing her to gulp nervously.

"H-hi"

The next thing Chirp kneww, paper balls and pencils and erasers were being thrown at her. Chirp quickly covered her face from avoiding getting hit, luckily the teacher came in and scolded the students on picking on the new student.

"Alright now class I would expect you to treat our new student with more respect. Now Chirp, you can seat anywhere you like"

Chirp nodded and was about to go to an empty seat but a student quickly put their foot on top not allowing Chirp to sit. She continued to another seat and the same thing happened again but this time the student put their backpack on the seat. Until finally, Chirp made a way to a seat that was far away from the whole class, she even had trouble looking at the board because the students were blocking her way on purpose.

*Arts and Crafts Time*

Chirp was sitting alone on a table and was minding her business just painting her statue that she has build of her father and her hugging. Chirp then stopped what she was doing when she felt a paper ball been thrown at her. She look back to see a bunch of other birds chuckling at her but she simply ignored them.

"Chirp"

One of the student says causing Chirp to look back and got more paper balls thrown at her. She let out a growl but then slowly took a deep breathe and sadly continue to work on her statue.

*After School*

Red was happily waitibg for Chirp to come out but was confused as to why she was taking too long since everyone already came out. He then walked to her class and saw her slowly packing away some of her belonging into her backpack. Red felt their was something wrong.

"Chirp"

He said from the doorway. Chirp immediately lift up her head and turn around and saw her father. She quickly ran to him and also let out a sob as Red quickly carried her up and gave her a tight hug of comfort. Chirp wrapped her wings tightly around her father's neck. Red knew she wasn't planning on letting go any time soon. They slowly walked back home.

"Chirp tell me what happened?"

He said ad he settling her down on the couch. Chirp sadly wipe away her tears.

"The other kids were being mean to me all day. I told you I didn't want to go to school"

Red frown and sadly looked at his daughter, now knowing exactly what to do.

"Did you tell your teacher?"

"I tried but he ignores me"

She said as she let out a sniffle. Red rubbed her shoulders.

"You know Chirp the best thing you can do is stand up for yourself because if no one is going to be their for you then stand your ground"

Chirp looked up at her father.

"But.."

"No buts. If you want those kids to stop messing with you then you are gonna have to show them whose boss. Now what are you going to do?"

Chirp smiled at her father with a look of determination. She curled her wings into a fist.

"Stand my ground"

"And how are you gonna do it?"

"By showing them whose boss"

"That's my girl"

Red said with a smile as he lift Chirp up in the air causing her to giggle.

"Now are you ready for to take the school on tomorrow?"

"Yes"

"And whose your daddy?"

Chirp looked at her father with a smile.

"Your my daddy"

She said and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
